The Incredible Edible Egg
The Incredible Edible Egg
The egg is a great source of nutrition. A single hard boiled egg has about 75 calories and 6 gram of protein. Eggs are a great breakfast, snack, or meal. There are many ways to cook eggs and create a nutritious and fun dish.
Hard Boiled Eggs
I like to eat hard boiled eggs as a breakfast, easy and nutritious. Once they are hard boiled they are an easy source of good nutrition. This is a great way to ensure that all your eggs survive the cooking process without cracking. I always loose a few when I boil them to cracking so baking them in a muffin tin seemed like a great solution.
I like to eat the egg with just a little salt and pepper. I sprinkle and grind the salt and pepper onto a plate. Then dip the egg into the mixture as I eat. This is a great snack or breakfast and provide good nutrition.

Serve with toast.
Egg in the Ham cupcake
The Ham Egg Cupcake
Yes, that title is correct this is an easy to make breakfast or snack. You can make one or 12. All you need is ham deli slices, eggs, salt, pepper, and a muffin tin.
- Preheat Oven to 350
- Grease the muffin tin.
- Place the ham into the muffin tin. Fit it in as well as you can so that it resembles a cupcake holder.
- Crack the egg and put the content into the ham cupcake holder.
- Top with a little salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 15 minutes.
I make 12 of these when I can, some for now and the other I throw into a ziploc bag and put into the freezer for later. I can easily take one out and reheat it for a simple and quick breakfast.
Ramekin Eggs
This is an easy alternative to frying eggs. Baking the eggs in ramekins is an easy alternative, depending on the size of your ramekin you can fit either one or two eggs in them. I have both sizes and alternate between the two. You can either bake them as a whole and add other ingredients or scramble them up in the ramekin.
These can be cooked plain or add some great ingredients to them to add something special.

Soft Boiled Eggs
A soft boiled egg is exactly the way it sounds. It is only boiled to the point where the yolk is still soft. I personally am not a fan of running yolks, but my husband is. He usually dips his toast into his yolk. Boil the eggs for a mere 5-7 minutes instead of 10 to get a soft boiled egg. Use an egg cup and spoon to serve them. Crack off the top of the egg and enjoy.
