A wonderful cup of over priced coffee, but the experience was what I paid for it was topped off with a small cookie. A wonderful orchestra played while we had a caffe latte and quiche. The experience was exactly what one should experience in a place like Venice. Unforgettable! The service was exceptional very attentive.

It was a pleasure to eat delicious desserts in a very beautiful setting in a historical place, excellent service, nice live music. We spent an enjoyable hour away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although the prices are above the average but this is not disturb you.Note:They charge 6€ per person for live music.

Well, it is worth paying almost 20 euro for a coffee for the experience: thinking that 300 years ago people - not really like you - sat there and eat their sweets and drinking their tea. The coffee co*cktails were very interesting. The price - it is the most expensive coffee we drank at almost 20 euro. The interior is what we expected but we choose to stay outside and enjoy the scenario. They also have a small gift shop - we bought some very nice and delicate ashtrays. It is, indeed, an experience if you imagination is wild :)).

Beautiful decor bring you back to 18AC. My kids enjoyed the desserts and icecreams.Service high quality coffees, bit expensive and worth the money to spend a moment there. At end, my son looked for chocolate to eat, and the waiter was very kind and bring my boy some chocolate chips to make him happy.I think this coffee shop is a must visit place when you in Venice.

We went in for a snack, and we had an idea it would cost more than other places, but didn’t expect to be legally robbed. C’mon… €9.00 for a 300ml bottle of still water??? What you see in my picture cost us €47.50… These people should be handcuffed. The food was good, but not superb. The service was friendly, but nothing exceptional. All the people here talking about ambiance… what ambiance??? This place is nothing like the famous cafes in Vienna or Paris, yet charge more by far than any cafe we’ve been in Europe. And then they want to charge you extra for the band??? Hang on to your money and go somewhere else. This Place is a tourist trap!!

The best cafe I ever visited. Food was amazing and delicious. Even small details. Service was excellent. You need to come here for an experience. Interior is breathtaking. We came at 9 a.m. and cafe was empty inside. We had chance to make so much beautiful instagram pictures and videos for blog. Food is expensive but absolutely worth every penny! We took coffee, croissant and some pastry and paid 50€. I read that they include 6€ per person for live music and it was also mentioned in menu so it was not surprise for us. But at the end they didn’t include this music part in our bill. Maybe because of the morning time. Overall we felt ourselves very welcome and staff was so friendly and nice.

The place is incredible and it is a cafe with more than 250 years old in the middle of Piazza San Marcos.This makes it extremely expensive, a coffee with macarons costs 25 euros.So and everything is worth a lot, the thought to spend a moment there, and enjoy the incredible views of the square.There are usually music shows, in my case I saw a group of classical music playing songs from all over the world (even tangos) which was really worth it.The attention is super cordial and very efficient

An iconic caffè in Venice dated back to 1720. Live music from their own orchestra every evening and the best view on Piazza San Marco. You are back in time to enjoy a wonderful evening. Please be aware that there is a overcharge fee of 6€/person for the live music, but it is worth.

Easy to get a table outside in St Mark Square. Relax and watch the people while enjoying the peaceful harmony of the live orchestra. It's like a scene from a movie and a dream wrapped into one! The Caffè del Doge (coffee, chocolate, hazelnut) was incredible and I'm a coffee snob! That's all we had but we weren't rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

Stunning cafe right in San Marco’s square. The food/coffee was rather on the expensive side but you get to soak in this beautiful place. The turnover & service were pretty fast so most of the time you don’t have to queue for long. We had toast Saporito and cappuccino ☕️ they were decent👍🏻 By the way, we think it’s cool that you can even order a song (€6 each!), even though we didn’t do that. it was definitely a special experience.

The best one was the prawn sandwich.The ice coffee was great but it was tiny when compared to the picture so don't get fooled.But the regular espresso was greatThe croissants were good too.The service was superb the waiters were super friendly and helpful.The location is great it is located on the San Marcos square so it can be really busy. You have to be prepared to wet your feet cause the water can rise anytime and the San Marco square is the lowest point in Venice.And finally the atmosphere was great eating or drinking in a cafe that's 300 years old is definitely something different.

I wanted to sit for something sweet and a tea. It has a good variation of sweets but better for take away, the space is weirdly separated into two sections by hotel entrance, one was loud with very few spots and the other deadly quiet. The staff was nice but a bit uncoordinated. Some of them understand a bit english. Wouldn’t be my choice again.

The food here is great! Morning starts late at Italian time. If you arrive early in the morning, there will be no sandwiches only sweet breakfast. After 9.30/10 am, there comes sandwiches. Each sandwich is 2.1 euro (half sandwich) we got ham and egg, smoke salmon and prawn ones. The ham and egg one is our favourite! The service here is super efficient they fill out your tray while making coffees. Also there’s a custard thing in the photo, it’s our favourite! It’s so good! It could be a bit intimidating considering in a foreign country and chaotic. This is a must try place for breakfast

I stopped by this place to have breakfast when travelling with my family in Venice. The service was great and we really liked croissants. Coffee was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommended! Prices are also quite reasonable for such a good place.

Beautiful hotel in Venice. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and the room size and bathroom were gracious in size. The staff were all so nice and helpful. The location was perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

We were very pleased with our stay at Rosa Salva. The room was beautiful and modern. Very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a table with two chairs for a nice sitting area. The minibar has free water, juice, yogurt, and the room has hot tea. You are given a discount card to the pasticceria which is accessible from the lobby. Very good selection there and everything was scrumptious. Highly recommend a cappuccino and croissant with cream for breakfast. The location is great for the tourist sites. Seems to be halfway between San Marco and Rialto. No confusing directions as the way is marked to both places. We enjoyed a vaporetto ride when we first arrived all the way down the grand canal to S Marco Valleresso and had a short easy walk to get to the hotel right through San Marco square. We would definitely return!

Amazing spot for a cup of espresso and a pastry in the morning. I’m a total tourist but our Airbnb host said this was a great place for breakfast and that a lot of locals visit it. It was pretty busy in the morning and the service was quick and prompt.We got a croissant and a fruit tart as well as espresso and cappuccino. Everything was delicious and affordable considering the area. We would definitely recommend it!

Accidentally stumbled upon this place around san marco. Later to find out here is where the locals come for breakfast/lunch. Extremely good tramezzini selection with fresh ingredients, anything pistachio filled is amazing, the coffee is very tasty. The servers were quite busy but they were helpful and spoke english as well. A very good find. (We did not stay at this hotel, only ate in the pastry shop)

Such an awesome pastry shop. They have a big array of desserts carefully laid out. The staff are very patient and they explain the menu well for foreigners like me.Please do visit this pasty shop if you are at Venice.Nothing in the store is gluten free though

Untasty sandwiches. Poor service. Expensive coffee. Horrible restroom.We wanted some change after we visited Farini twice, but this was bad decision. If you consider some nice place to eat and drink coffee, go for Farini.

Immaculately clean and well appointed, the room was exactly what I was looking for. Staff were helpful and always available and the proximity to Piazza San Marco made the stay even better. I will be coming back again soon.

There are no prices, the staff deceives, prices are invented on the go, the same product may cost differently (with a difference of up to 5 euros). Besides, it doesn't taste good.

Nice Pastisseria to taste the local Fritella one of the best in Venice. Also they have a very good cooffe. I recommend coming to buy and taste some of the patisserie.

A great cup of coffee and some very lovely pastry! The atmosphere is nice and the service is very helpfull. There is a little desk outside where you can enjoy your sweets and coffee before you journey on. A great way to start the day.

Despite being on the most trodden touristy path of Venice, every dessert and sweet they had on offer looked a delight. I got some dense chocolate ball and my god was it sweet in the best way. An unforgettable mouthful of texture and flavor. Highly recommend for a short stop for a sweet pick-me-up. Thank you Italy for caring about food (coming from Germany)

It is better than most bakeries in Vienna, do not expect the same texture as French croissant.It is close to brioche.

All of my family have really bad experience hon this pasticceria. We tasted several types of pastry and it was hard and not tasty at all, it had no taste. And the worst thing is that the staff was not friendly and irritated, it is very repulsive. I will not recommend this place to anyone. The only thing is that the coffee is delicious, as it is mostly throughout .

Dec 2022. Dropped by for breakfast before heading to Milan. The pastries were a tad too sweet. We bought kranz al chocolate and Pan Del Vini, they were nice at the first 2 bites but the sweetness in the Pan berries eventually turned me off.

Capuccino was good and cheap but the cannoli was overpriced (4.50) and it has not so much flavour... the cornetto was good though but there are so much better options in venice.

Wonderful pasticceria! It s the second Year since I visit it. The staff is very helpful, the cakes, especially fritella, are fresh and tasty, italian pastry at the super level! If in the first days I had an espresso and a cookie, I ended by having an espresso, a cappuccino and 2 or 3 cakes, twice a day. I recommend with confidence! However, I have a piece of advice: pay by card, because I received as a change, a torn 10 euro banknote, which I can no longer use.

I visited on a Sunday Morning and it was definitely busy, but there was just enough seats to sit down. They had a wide selection of coffee and teas. I went for an Ethiopian coffee double espresso and it had an interesting taste.Will be definitely visiting again but probably little later on in the day.

One of the best coffee shops I ever visited. They have great variety of different kinds of coffee beans. I tried everyone and everyone is awesome! Taste is so full of flavour. The beans are amazing quality and they are roasted perfectly. If you are coffee lover you must go here. You can also buy some beans to have this perfect coffee at home. Extremely recommended.

The Americano is awesome. The filter coffee tasted amazing as well though the price and portion is not quite matched (7 euro for a cup size filter coffee, being a tourist here so not sure about the average price in Venice). The beans sold here are too good to go and cheap! It packed in the morning so sometime you might need some patients.

Came here twice for breakfast for our visit and it was so great each time. Wide selection of eats, fast service, and delicious coffee. The baristas are incredibly fast at making your drink, all while delivering something absolutely tasty. We made sure to fit them in one last time before we caught the boat to the airport. Absolutely a great way to fuel your morning for a day out.

The best: speciality coffee ☕️ 🔝 Nice environment inside and also tables outside right beside a canal. They sell monk origin coffee, means that you can choose the country of origin of your coffee. The attention is good, they speak English and explain the coffee they have. I had an iced latte that was super good, good amount of coffee on it ! Loved it 💛 Prices over the average.

The Crown Jewel of venezian coffee! The only one specialty coffee bar in Venice. Great coffee (both filter - v60 and batch brew - and espresso based) and rally good pastry (one of the best croisants we've ever had!) For a week everyday we took a 30 minute walk to have coffee and croisants there. Attention: don't come in the last 15-30 minutes before closing, because you won't probably have coffee apart from batch brew.

We arrived right before opening, you could smell the baked pastries all the way out. We sat along the canal and soaked up the great atmosphere. The cappuccino and cornetto were great, and the staff was friendly. It's very nice and cozy inside, too. I definitely highly recommend it, the place is in a quiet part of town too. They have toilets inside.

This special roastery doesn't just sell coffee. It's like taking a trip through how different coffees are mixed together, showing all the different flavors in coffee beans. Every time you drink their coffee, you can feel how good they are at making it. It's an invitation for coffee lovers to try all sorts of flavors in each tasty cup.

A very nice cafe serving good quality cappuccinos and hot chocolates with a wide variety of drinks and pastriesThere are also some nice coffee souvenirs such as espresso cups and saucers.I regularly pop into this cafe when I am in Venice and the quality is always good. The staff are friendly and professional and the cafe has a good atmosphere. It doesn't get too busy as it's hidden away down a side calle.The cafe is in a good location too not far from the Rialto Bridge

I 100% recommend this place! I went here for breakfast two mornings in a row because their coffee, service and pain au chocolates were superb! The fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice touch as well.I can’t speak to how busy it is later in the day as I only came at around 8am which was nice and quiet and mostly only locals around. Wasn’t aware of the scale of @caffe.del.doge when I chose to sat down there in the alley of Rialto, Venice. The barista was really kind and I’m glad that I went with the cappuccino that she recommended. It was so chill and relaxing sipping coffee there even though it was just a quiet alley. Stop going to coffee shops that are Americanized and come to this café. The staff do speak English, but that shouldn’t be the reason for you to visit a cafe, you’re in Italy people speak Italian first and foremost.I really liked this cafe, due to the staff being extremely friendly and the atmosphere was cozy as well as the location was at a calm alleyway. Good if you want "special coffee" but only offers espresso types and charges double from normal coffee places like 'Farini'. Food is good, service is Ok if you speak a little Italian. If you ask for an 'americano' they will serve you an espresso and a cup of hot water, which is a little peculiar but understandable given Italian coffee culture.

I felt very welcome as an Asian and speaking English. It was somewhat different from the other café I've been to in Italy so far. Order a tuna egg sandwich & cuppaccino. They taste great too.

The best Italian hot chocolate I’ve ever had and some amazing pastries. Two drinks and a couple pastries were around 10eu. Great for an on the go breakfast. Staff were very friendly there are benches in the windows to eat indoors but it was quite a busy place on a Sunday morning. Venue was clean. Absolutely loved it here, was our regular breakfast place while in venice. We were staying at the 40.17 San Marco hotel so very convenient.

Great bakery. We had breakfast here every day we loved it so much. Great way to enjoy breakfast the Italian way. Order a small pastry and an espresso or cappuccino, eat standing at the counter and be on your way. Very affordable too. 2 coffees and 2 pastries all for under $10 for 2 people. The staff were helpful and patient with tourists, and there were plenty locals there lending vote of approval. Great variety of high quality pastry, coffees and liquor.

We randomly stumbled across this pasticceria during a 9 day trip to Venice and came back every single day for morning caffe. The tortes, the brioches, the chocolates, the coffee, and the people, everything was fantastic.We did our best to order in Italian every day and the employees were so nice and patient with us. It felt like we were part of the neighborhood. We will miss it every day in the morning as part of our routine and can’t wait to return.

Wish I could give 6 stars. I stopped in here after a depressing experience at a tourist trap cafe, and I couldn’t have been happier to find this. €3 for an Espresso macchiato and a mini fruit tart that was delicious— money well spent. This place knows how to do traditional Italian pastry, definitely give it a go

Amazing dessert and coffee shop. Coffee was strong and tasty. Cannoli was delicious with hint of orange and pistachio. Their desserts are so so tasty. Recommend!

What a wonderful place to drink your coffee in the morning!First of all, I really liked this place because it had a wide variety of cakes and pastry products that you could choose from. They were very nicely arranged as well.I had a really big cafe latte which impressed me because in many places the coffee is not as big. I also had a ricotta and pistacchio cannoli, which was really rich in flavour and very consistent.You cannot really sit here because there are only counters where you can serve your products, but no chairs.Me and my friends served our coffee and pastry products near the windows and it was funny that people who were passing on that street were looking at us while we were eating.The staff was really friendly to us. The coffee took a while to be prepared but there was only one person taking care of coffee and the shop was really crowded at that time.Overall, I recommend this place. It it perfect for a breakfast or a snack on the go.

An unforgettable experience in Venice. Tiny cakes and perfect coffee. Who could ask for more. One thing that was missing, though, was that there are no chairs, long or short whatsoever. As a result, one has to stand up to savour the food

Great little bakery found on the side streets behind the San Marco Basilica. They have a selection of sandwiches if your are craving savory and a plethora of sweets to choose from.We got our basic cappuccinos, a small sandwich to share, and three sweets to pair with our coffees. I recommend this place for a starter snack before you explore the canals and islands of Venice.

My favorite bakery in Florence! The pastries and drinks are so delicious and fresh. Every time I visit I make sure to get a couple thing and it’s always affordable. Great staff and my fiancé and I recommend to anyone!

Oh you have to try one of those pastries….I tried a ball filled of pistachio (1.5€) , don’t know the name, and it was delicious…really close to the bridge of sighs, go it you will not regret it!

The place looks nice as do the pastries, but that's all. The woman staff member was rude and quite abrupt. The prices are questionable, and tourists need to pay attention to this. Finally, we were let down by the over frozen and stale food. I'd like to think it was an off day. However, other reviews suggest not.

I've been looking all over the place for cannoli. Couldn't find any or they didn't look good. I know they're not typical of Venice but still I figured someone has to have them. This place has them and they were delicious!

Great variety of baked products and coffee. Everything is delicious and everything is inexpensive.We had breakfast there everyday we stayed in Venice.They open at 7 am, very convenient if you want to start your day early and enjoy exploring the city with no crowds.This place is a million times better than a Starbucks.

The worst cannoli I ate in my life for 4 Euro . People travel to Italy to eat the best food, don’t let the tourists down just to make money. My favorite cannoli was in Sicily and they taste great in New York City but not at this place.

Lovely location right on the canal-especially with the Bauer closed right now there's not much foot traffic along the water at this spot. It was disappointing at one point that the staff put some 'standing' customers on the pier blocking the view. The food was delicious and staff was helpful and answered questions readily. I will say that my service greatly improved as the staff realized I intended to purchase a full meal with dessert and not just buying a drink to soak in the view. (and this happens everywhere). As always, if you're from US remember Italy is a 'smoking' country so if you sit outside someone may be (chain) smoking beside you. You'll survive. Go, enjoy the view, the food, and the experience.

Away of the crowds.A bit noisy with the grand canal slamming against the patio edge repeatedly but you get used to it.No one to welcome you. We had our hotel make our reservations since they told this American over the phone “all booked”.The waitress was quite nice, spoke good English and helped me along. Only one beer, which seems to be the case in Italy. Who drinks beer? Not Italians!The gnocchi with scampi was excellent. Like little pillows with the best “shrimp” I’ve ever tasted. Lasagna was good too. Bread came dry with no olive oil or salt/pepper. The waitress pleasantly brought us some when we asked. Panne cotta was nice, not overly sweet. Two people, eating light, 74 euro. Nothing is cheap here. Nothing. Except the mosquitoes, plenty of free mosquitos.

My spot to enjoy a drink and a waterfront view from Venice. The wine flows for 5 euros and they have co*cktails for 10 euros. The service is stellar, the nicest man ever took care of me.They also give you complimentary snacks with your drink which is a nice plus and they have more food you can order if you want more of a meal, but that selection is a little limited. It would be cool if they added a cheese board option I think!Just a very chill spot near the docks and perfect for a relaxing evening.

A great restaurant with amazing views near in Venice! We absolutely enjoyed our time here and the service was great as well as the quality of food.If you make a quick search you will realize that most restaurants or cafes with a great view in Venice lack good service and ratings. So glad we found this place with both good service and good food.We will definitely return once back in Venice!

Price is on the high side. Service was alright. Food is great, and the view is beautiful, the outdoor area is facing the Basilica.Overall a good lunch experience for me.

Not bad, but limited menu and a tad pricey for just mediocre food (I’ve had much better spaghetti alla vongole on the island). View is nice, which is really what you’re paying for, but could use some ambiance like individual table lights / candles.

Perfect spot to enjoy our first night back in Venezia! We were looking for somewhere to get a great meal with a truly Venetian view and this was it. Of course you expect that you'll pay a little more being right off the Grand Canal, but from the delicious food (it was too dark to take pictures), the friendly service, and the location, the prices really weren't that unreasonable. I'm sure the area may be usually more busy, but it felt very quiet and somewhat off the beaten path despite the fact that it's in such a prominent spot. Definitely recommended for a special meal - you'll enjoy it for sure!
