Bakery with both sweet and savory baked pastries as well as various breads. The team here is great and always patient as we figure out what we want. Ordering is through a window on the sidewalk and is all take away. Get coffee at the Beanery next door and get your baked goods here. Seating in the back parking lot.

Crispian Bakery is a great place to get pastries or coffee. The staff is sweet and super helpful. I went twice while on a four day trip. Both times the food was amazing and my lattes were delicious. My daughter can be a little shy to try new food and drinks. The staff there made her feel encouraged to try something out of her comfort zone and even said if she didn't like it they'd give her something else for free. I will be going again next time I'm in Alameda!

Something was off......or maybe it was a bad batch but a couple of years ago, I tried one of their pastries and found it unremarkable. A week later, I had a different one and it was terrible. Listen, I never, NEVER deliberately waste food - especially pastry but I had to throw it in the nearest garbage can.It was like they forgot to include ANYTHING related to making sweet pastry a guilty pleasure. NO sweet kick, none of that intoxicating buttery yumminess you experience at the first bite. I rationalized that maybe Crispian was trying to make a "healthier" version of a usually decadent treat. Still, why bother? Feel Good Bakery is just around the corner.

today I saw Meaghan demonstrate an unbelievable about of patient with a customer that did not know the similarities of the product serve here. she explain and ensure that the customer understood the differences even thought that customer was super rude to her. I hope I see her again when I come in for my morning coffee and croissant. (highly recommend the Ham and cheese croissant, although a version without all the seeds would be nice to have available as well).

The pizza was really good. They have a different kind every day and every time I go I buy one for my friend then just eat it. If you buy cookies you will eat them all like Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.

Such a shame. This place used to be amazing. Now they just close as-how whenever they feel like it. The selection I was used to daily is now only offered once a week. Seems like they use any opportunity to not come into work. If you don’t want to work, just close the business. Full of excuses I don’t care about. Grow up, be a business, or don’t.Drove in specifically today because it’s the only day of the week they make what I like. Closed. No reason given. No sign. Just closed. Over it. Incredible pastries and crazy delicious thin crust sourdough crust pizza. Long lines but they move fast. They do have cheese pizza for the kiddos. The light bake option for the pizzas is brilliant if you're not eating it right away.

Once you eat pizza at Arizmendi Bakery you won’t ever want a NY slice again. They make one kind of pizza each day based on the ingredients at hand for that day (you can check the menu online ahead of time to see why the flavor will be). The dough is sourdough based and the toppings are fresh and creative.There is usually a line out the door but it moves fast. You can buy pizza by the slice, a half pie, or a full one and they’ll always throw in a few extra scraps which is awesome.This location is awesome and a great option for anyone craving pizza!

The chocolate thing available on Sundays from @arizmendilakeshore is my favorite pastry in the Bay Area … so far! Their chocolate chip pecan cookie is also good. I also enjoy the iced coffee, pizza (flavors change daily) and today’s veggie vegan soup was delish! I love that it’s a coop owned by people who work hard and make good food, bread and drink. I love this location.

Absolutely the best bakery! The pizza special changes everyday but is always a winner and the baked goods are amazing. Great tea and coffee drinks simple and high quality for the win.

It’s fantastic! The bakery is worker owned! right on! The display cases are clean and organized and easy to access. All the breads are made daily and often sell out before the end of the day, so I would recommend an early in the day purchase versus later. A true artisans bakery with great selections. Their sourdough bread loaves to die for. Their city sourdough is terrific as is their green olive sourdough and the garlic cheddar is excellent as well. They have a great selection of scones and muffins and lots of other goodies that you would expect from a great bakery. A super nice staff behind the counter. And you can expect they’ll be a crowd. Especially on a Sunday like it was when we were there.

🤤🤤🤤 They have a unique and delicious cinnamon roll. Personally not a fan of the chocolate croissant but everything else I’ve tried is enjoyable! Affordable slice of pizza when I’m walking the lake and cheesy craving strikes. Usually a line, always efficient and friendly staff. Looking forward to tasting my way through the baked goods case.

If you happen to be around please make sure to stop by for a slice of pizza, pastries or bread. There might be a line - the wait is totally worth it, I promise. I love getting a slice to go and walk around Lake Merritt. They also have many drink options and soup. Their staff is super friendly and have a very cool ethos as a business.

Biscuit sandwich is mids. It came with a "side salad" that was a half a handful of spring greens, very underwhelming. I see what they're trying to do but fail in the execution at a costly price.However, SOME of baked goods are pretty good. Don't get any cream puffs, the choux dough is rubbery, tasted really OLD. The sticky bun was great though.Don't get food here, come for the baked goods.

Recently opened for dine-in!We come here every other weekend and honestly everything is fantastic. If you're looking for superior soft toast bread the Croissant Pulman loaf can't be beat!

On the positive side, the pastries and many of the breakfast items are truly standout. Like… SO good. But, the coffee and espresso bar are average at best.I only go here on weekends when other neighborhood faves (Kinfolx, Modern Coffee) are closed. Reason? Their outdated hipster snark à la Portland 2002 is so off putting. They are so proud of their artisan pastries that they make no attempt to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere or to put engaging/friendly people behind the counter. It’s lame. Kindness and warmth are the primary missing element at Firebrand.

Now I see why there is always a line when I walk pass. First off the smell of fresh bread!!! Oh it’s amazing!!! Second off the people that work there is sooooo friendly and have the best smiles!! Makes you feel like you’re with good friends!!! third!!! You get to watch them make things!! It’s the best feeling ever! Forth everything is so fresh so flakey and so flavorful!!! Fifth it’s affordable all of it!!!! So that’s a plus!! Lastly the guy who makes the drinks does this cool. Little swirl on top and it just makes my day so much better. Would have preferred a fresher Croissant, but I understand the times and none the less it was hearty and delicious! Cappuccino and Apple fritter w/maple croissant was on point. 🙏🏽😋

Baked goods are really great though post if the pastry is a bit dark for my personal tastes - the breakfast options in particular are really delicious and the potatoes are perfect.Coffee bar options are really hit or miss though, baristas frequently make lattes and other steamed milk options *way* too hot, and don’t think I’ve ever gotten a latte here that wasn’t a cappuccino.

Hot chicken sandwich was probably a chicken tender smashed, fried and burnt on one side. No thicker than an 1/8 inch and didn't fill the delicious bun. Flavor was overwhelmed by burnt chicken.Pretzel bomb, with gruyere was served cold. Tiny and way overpriced.Kale chicken salad was fine. Vinaigrette dressing was unimaginative.Service was good, but food, not worth it. I will take a pass on trying it again. Good luck.

Great breakfast sandwich (honey biscuit with sausage). Biscuit wasn't too sweet, sausage was delish. I like my fried egg runnier but that's on me as I forgot to ask for it that way. Only area for improvement is that it was a bit dry.The side of taters was generous and crunchy on outside, tender on inside. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I've visited this place many times over the last few years. My favorite unofficial menu item is the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich but on a biscuit. I'm from Tennessee and we love our hot chicken and biscuits, so I was pleasantly surprised at how scrumptious this sandwich was. When my family and friends visit, I make them try the sandwich to compare to "our" home cooking and they are equally impressed. The sandwich is very filling, so sharing is not a bad idea. 😉

The Bakery is fantastic and always pumping out the goods in volume. The bread, pastries and food is very fresh. I took a star off because if your dining there its very busy and its cafe style so the tables and chairs are pretty uncomfortable and the presentation could be a bit better. but a 5 Star for the bakery products.

Not bad, but also a bit ‘plain Jane.’ Wanted a simple scramble and wasn’t expecting a giant layer of cheap processed cheese coating the top of my meal (seriously like a Chicago style deep dish pizza). I’d order the chorizo again tho, just without cheddar.Food came out super fast. Both waitresses seemed super attentive. Ty for having me and cheers.

Ordered delivery food was great. got the birds nest with mushrooms added. Also got a maple bacon doughnut and it was a great doughnut light fluffy warm and flavorful. Only thing I can say negative is my butter pad was placed in the warm box and by the time it got here was soaked into the box so I could not butter my toast. I would for sure recommend the breakfast from this place and will order from here again if I get back to the area

Three to four stars, but they have a wide variety of food that looks good that I haven't tried so I pushed it to four stars. Everything was fresh, omelette was good, the English muffin toasted perfect and the fruit was exceptionally good. They make their donuts from scratch, I tried a chocolate donut and it was good.

Came here on a Tuesday noon to have brunch with my mom and sister. The place wasn't busy and we appreciated there were glass partitions between each table for protection.We ordered the the hashtag and the haus Benedict. The food was okay and nothing particularly special. I also checked in to get a free donut - and since we were 3 people we got an extra donut. The donuts were also just okay.My 2 favorite things about this place are the affordable prices and the amazing service. Seriously the staff here are very nice, kind, and attentive. Also the prices aren't too bad for brunch options versus other restaurants.I recommend this place for good brunch prices and a cozy environment.

Last week I went back to Homeskillet, and once again was very impressed with their Benedicts. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid greasy spoon/classic Americana breakfast eats like omelettes, Benedicts, and pancakes. The service is good, and they are very careful with cleaning and plastic barriers to keep diners distanced and safe. One thing I tried this time I hadn't before, was their donuts. Very worthwhile to pick up some to take to go after having a hearty breakfast/brunch.

The breakfast pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies and breads are some of the best in the Bay Area. Even showing up at 7:00 a.m. this morning there was already a line. It moved quickly due to the efficiency of the staff.

The Best European bakery east of San Francisco, California! Fresh, warm, delicious breads and delicious - Outstanding Scones!

Quick service at most times of the day. Feels safe, only 3 customers aĺlowed inside at a time. My favorite is the Kalamata olive loaf bread. Aa requested they will quickly slice it. The rye and sour dough loaves are wonderful too. The desserts (baked tarts, etc)are beautiful but quite pricey.

Went to La Farine today to pick up some baked goods. The sales clerks were very patient and friendly. I couldn't decide and they said, "take your time" which was great. There r just way too many yummy goodies here to choose from.. Cookie monster would have a blast amd never leave this place!!!There is seating inside as well as a several benches outside. There is street parking. Otherwise, there is a 4 hour free parking at 3408 Dimond Avenue Parking Lot that is around the corner from Peet's Coffee.

I order a fruit tart every year for a Gatsby Summer Afternoon picnic. These are theeee most beautiful tarts ever. And they’re delicious. The coffee isn’t great but I can’t even deduct a star in good conscience because the pastries are so good.

If you want good croissants or almond croissants go buy the frozen ones at Trader's Joe. They are imported from France, your house will smell good when you cook them and they taste much better than the expensive ones from La Farine that have never to do with French croissants. Also in the almond croissants, you will be lucky if you can taste the almonds.La baguette rustic is good.

Went here for brunch, staff were really friendly and accommodating. We had a steak and the «El Rancho» dish, which both were alright. The portions were big and reasonably priced. Overall it’s a nice diner and would come back to try different things on their menu (the smoothies especially looked really good!)

This is a great local cafe with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff that always make you feel welcome. The food is tasty with fresh ingredients, and there are seating options both in and outdoors that can accommodate a variety of group sizes. This has been my favourite breakfast spot for years and I feel like a member of the family when I'm here. Their coffee is wonderful as well, if you are just looking for something to go. Even if their kitchen is closed they won't turn you away hungry and will offer to make you a sandwich to go. This is the best cafe!

Very friendly staff! I like coming here every once in a while to get an oolong tea with lychee jelly and a breakfast sandwich. Nice place for a date too.

I had coffee and a beagle. The beagle was fresh and the coffee was warm even though it was around lunchtime. The covered patio was very nice especially with the sun shining. The next visit will be for the full breakfast.

I love the coffee and always grab it on the go. Today I had time for a leisurely breakfast so I’m dining on the patio under a heat lamp on a rainy dreary Monday - how perfect for my taste buds! The house blend coffee is my favorite—it’s a combo of French, Italian and Colombian beans!We usually do delivery from The Coffee Mill but since I’m out and about I’m so glad that I’ve experienced the French toast in person! It’s delightful with their unique syrup and powdered sugar. I added a delish scrambled egg on the side. The cakes selection is so large, there is something for everyone. The savory baked goods are on another level as well. They go above and beyond with the service that is consistent and the consistency of the yummy food. I love this place whenever there's a special occasion for a cake, or just a pick me up to feel good.

Had these for the first time today and I must say I was not impressed at all. So excited to try and was not impressed. Visually they looked absolutely appetizing (cupcakes) but they were not moist at all, very dry! The frosting was not appetizing at all. Had no real favor, unfortunately these were a two thumbs down for me.

Under new ownership the bread remains great, but the service varies a lot. Often it's fine. But last Saturday the counter was understaffed, and the woman serving was unwilling to answer questions, walk a few steps from the register to the cake counter, didn't bother serving customers in order, and was put-out generally. I don't need to be fawned over, but I'm not interested in dealing with an attitude typically reserved for surly children. At $8/loaf, it's a premium product, so time to have a chat with staff about attitude.

The bakery is fine, they have a very large selection of tasty looking things, which is great. However, I second what some others have said; the service is not always great. One time I went and omg the lady helping me had such an awful attitude. She was very...seemingly annoyed with me wanting to buy things. I almost just said NEVERMIND and I've never said that before ever. I think it has soured me from coming back honestly. I'd rather go to the bakery around the corner

Beautiful pastries and baked goods from cakes and pies to cupcakes and macarons. They sell loaf breads, cheese sticks, scones, danishes, croissants, soft baked pretzels, and more. We bought a pretzel. It would've probably tasted better if it was warm.

Delicious, flakey pastries, in sweet (just right, not overly sweet or drenched like a donut) and savory form, and beautiful shapes and colors. Chewy cookies were perfect as well.

Unfortunately, the business has taken another step down with the new owners. Not sure if they are a bakery or a reseller for a cookie company outside of the Bay Area. Pastry recipes have changed—almond croissant has about three times too much marzipan in it, bear claw no longer offered, and fruit danish no longer has the same fruit in it. They are also selling coffees and other items at the Encinal address that competes with the lovely neighboring coffee shop.

Just excellent. Their version of carrot cake manages to improve on the classic. Just had a blackberry marzipan tart that was great too.

One of my favorite markets in Alameda. small but you find everything. Butcher shop, groceries, bakery, wines, also parking, some fast food stores, good place to do your shopping.

The pastry is truly excellent, as it is in their other location on Encinal. Unfortunately, the service at the Park Street counter ranges from inattentive to actively rude. Having done plenty of service jobs, including food service, I'm sympathetic to the demands of this work, but the culture at this location is not focused on customer service. The bad taste it leaves negates the deliciousness of their baked goods and after several tries, it's not worth it anymore.

It is a small, pleasant, and clean bakery with friendly staff and a fairly extensive menu. To give a more accurate review, I would need to try more of their products, but from the ones I tried this time, I was slightly disappointed with their Brioche - Pecan Sticky Bun. They were too dry, but the nuts added some flavor. Their Salted Chocolate Chip cookie was average (I didn't taste the salt), but I would definitely recommend trying their Molasses Ginger cookie again.

Very friendly staff and incredible pastry selection. My favorite was the seasonal kouign amann with pumpkin cream and pumpkin seeds on top for a little crunch. I also picked up the focaccia which was perfectly soft with a little onions on top with amazing flavor. Overall 10/10!

Fantastic experience, we love starter bakery items! This is the first time we went to the actual store in Oakland to try their items and we were blown away. I have been going here for a few years. The atmosphere is chill and low key. The employees are patient and super nice. The coffee is also fantastic and way better than any other coffee around.

I've been frequenting this establishment, in one incarnation or another, pretty much since Market Hall was built. It is a wonderful centralized neighborhood hangout, good coffee, friendly service, a good place to catch up with your neighbors or grab a cup before or after heading off on BART or bus. It's not particularly a food place. They have a small selection of pastries, but it is in Market Hall, next to a bakery and many other gastronomic delights

This adorable café makes the best lattes! I've really enjoyed the Birthday Cake, Lavender, and Rose lattes from here. I've also tried the Cinnamon Sugar Toast which was delightful!

Delicious espresso. They have a good selection of gluten-free treats. Tracy was very knowledgeable and helped guide me to selecting beans I’d like for home espresso.Edit- they gave me samples of several beans to try. Bauhaus was my favorite, and that’s what I’ll be buying from now on

Love, love, love Highwire coffee. Probably one of my favorite coffee places in the Bay area and I always order my bags online from them. So, I'm not a huge fan of organic coffee, but, Conscientious Objector should be on everyone's list to try it's one my favorite coffees for sure and for an organic coffee it's delicious.

I love coming to this Highwire location as it's part of my weekly routine. The team is always friendly and attentive, and the drinks are top notch. Not a bad thing I can say about them, I'm a huge fan

I have always had a very pleasant experience here. There are not many places where I can get an excellent decaf coffee…can’t drink regular coffee anymore. It’s been a challenge to find a place and I finally did almost a year ago. The coffee has flavor and body like regular coffee. I always get a decaf americano. The baristas are professional yet friendly and they take their time with each customer and I really appreciate that!! I love this area anyway and sometimes I would shop at the bakery or the stores…sit outside on a warm day and enjoy my coffee and pastry.

We stopped by here about an hour before they closed and were happy they still had some donus left. These donuts were literally the best I've ever eaten. I can't wait to try their other flavors!

Ordered a "Baker's Dozen" through DoorDash to send to a family member. On the DoorDash site, the description gives you one for a true baker's dozen, mentioning that they will throw in that extra one free. Only 12 donuts were delivered and not a true Baker's Dozen. They should change the description or actually pack 13. Other than that, my sister said the donuts were good.

Completely over-rated, visuals-only donut shop. Interior is as if Blue Bottle Coffee married American Girl. Very cute and makes you feel good. Even then, the donuts were really subpar.The cronut was SOGGY. Are you kidding me? At this price range, I would expect the cronut to have all the qualities of a croissant as well as be gently wafting me into sweetness. Instead, it was a soggy piece of kitchen towel doused in sugar and cream.The marshmallow chocolate. Great concept and looks good. But when you use a mediocre donut as the base, what good can come? The donut was neither fluffy or the chewy type. Just "bread". Again, it looked great until we bit into it.Finally, they old fashioned series - no matter what flavor. The essence of old fashioned is it has a crispy outside and a soft, ungrainy inside. It's dense yet goes easy. Over in this joint, the old fashioned feels half done. No crisp. Felt soggy.Not sure how this store is pulling off a 4.7 star (as of this writing). Won't be returning, especially not at this price point. There are so many other great donut spots around the area if you take donuts seriously.

Delicious donuts! Enjoyed the lavender and passionfruit mochi. By 10am on a Sunday, some were close to running out like the vegan/gluten free donuts and few other regular. Loved there is a variety of flavors for mochi, cake, glazed, old fashioned.

The cronuts are top-notched, perfectly done, light, and just the right amount of sweetness; the pistachio, strawberry, bacon, and apple donuts were amazing! As for the apple fritter, the consistency was perfect but like most of these I have had--too sweet for me. Get there very early as they sell out quickly from what I've heard so I was first in line today (first-timer), and there were people already in line outside waiting for it to open. Customer service was nice but I wish they would smile. Probably had a long morning already 😆. Go there already!

Extremely salty ham and cheese breakfast bagel. It seemed to be from the ham. It kind of ruined the flavor of everything but the bagel had a nice consistency to it. I'll try again and get something different than ham.

Placed order through Uber eats was delivered hot and fast. But the order was prepared wrong when calling the store they argued that Uber changed there menu I should have written them a note. $45 for food I can’t eat because of my food allergies and the store basically said not my problem. Poor customer service. I didn’t ask for free food I just wanted what I paid for and not an argument at 11AM. Don’t worry I know not to order there ever again.

My husband and I were staying in an Airbnb while we looked for an apartment in the bay area. This was a morning stop for bagels and schmear, and the occasional donut😅. Friendly staff and a nice little selection of baked goods.

Just had breakfast from here and wow, was it delicious! The hummus sandwiches were a lot bigger than we were expecting and at a great price. Highly recommend the everything bagel for whatever you order. The bagel was really tasty and they fully cover it in the toppings. We also got an iced chai latte and smoothie, and really enjoyed them both.

Bagels are good, Donuts are amazing! Coffee is so-so, kind of sour, but decent with cream and sugar.

I got a salmon bagel sandwich and it was absolutely divine! Fast service, amazing quality of food, and pricing was more than reasonable. I will be back!

This is my weekly spot, it's cozy and a small business which I try and support more often. The owner is super nice and I love their sandwiches and iced coffee here. I will continue to come to this bagel place because of how friendly and delicious everything is.

Excellent bakery with delicious, beautifully produced pastries and cookies. Highly recommend the custard topped, strawberry jam filled pastry and the Ube croissant. The matcha cream filled pastry was a little overwhelmed by the sweetness and abundance of the topping, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, it's heaven. The flavor of the topping was still very good and it looked gorgeous! My husband was disappointed by the ham and cheese croissant and said he thought it could have used a little more filling.If you are familiar with Bake Sum on Lakeshore, you will know what to expect in terms of flavors, textures and types of pastries available.Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood but side streets are a good option.

One of THE CUTEST little bakeries in Oakland and a must visit in Rockridge! The staff is super attentive and friendly. The entire place is minimal yet aesthetically pleasing at the same time and there’s a lot of attention to detail whether it’s the packaging or the little white rabbit candy wrapper on the cookie, or the drink menu on the wall.

This bakery has been on my wishlist for a while after I read about it. They do Asian inspired and flavored pastries, both savory and sweet. Of the two that I tried on this visit, the ginger pull apart danish was my favorite, it was the right amount of crunch on the outside and chewiness on the inside without being overwhelming. The other mochi muffin treat I tried I would pass on next time.They run a promo of 5 pastries for $20 right before closing so if you want to sample a bunch come near the end of the day.Super convenient and great location in the Rockridge area near lots of other popular shops.

Very cute bakery with innovative pastries. Loved the kimchee corn cheese croissant and the mixed berry croissant tart. Also notable is the ginger pull apart, milk tea blondie and the mochi muffins. If you go near closing time, they have a special going on which is any 5 pastries for $20.

Came to pickup Lunar New Year Pastry Boxes and then picked other goodies. Fantastic pastries and service was great with the solo person working that day on January 27th! Got help getting all the boxes to my car! Received rave reviews on these boxes!

French style bread. Sandwiches. The bread is good when fresh, so eat it quickly. The sandwiches are popular with three high school crowd. I wish the had more crouch, whole grain bread options.There are also french pastries for sale. They are good, not too sweet.

Consistently fantastic sourdough and 'sweet' baguettes and loaves... consistent as in decades of yum, wholesome bakery. Also, they have black tea in a big pump carafe which never (NEVER) is mixed up with the coffee.

Delicious coffee and bakery!!! I’ve been here about 6 days in a row now for a half cafe latte with whole milk. Great flavors and prices! You might see some of their fresh baked bread in grocery stores as well!

Friendly, quick, reliable. Good coffee, good bread. Not the best spot in Berkeley for pastries (Cheeseboard is much better) but a great local spot nonetheless. They just started serving sandwiches again and their veggie sandwich is fantastic!

Love the bread from Semifreddi. Didn't know they had a bakery located in Kensington, an area that is closed to Berkeley. At this location, they also make sandwiches, breakfast as well as scones, muffins, turnovers and a lot more variety of breads. They are also cheaper here than buying from Safeway or Whole Food or other grocery stores that carries the bread. The counter person was very friendly and was familiar with the local clientele. My daughter loves muffaletta. When I told him that she was sick with a sore throat, he was considerate enough to suggest that they won't put it in the bread presser so long to make it too crispy for her. Now, that's what I call excellent customer service! I would definitely come back again to buy the bread and partake in their kind and wonderful service!!

THIS STORE IS NOT AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF BOSNIAN PEOPLE.The customer service is atrocious and they sell expired food. I returned groceries (2 minutes after buying it) because I found out my brother and 8 other people got really bad food poisoning. I returned the stuff after just having walked out, and politely said I needed to return. She gave me so much attitude and declared that nobody ever returns anything so she doesn’t even know how to do a return. Weird that you own the store but can’t handle a simple return. She then made me wait while she called her bank so they can talk her through. During that, her husband came and began to berate me in the store. I then finally explained that my extended family had gotten horrible food poisoning (which I didn’t know until now) and I did not want to purchase these items since it was for a family bbq. After the return, he blocked me at the entrance and tried to call my brother a liar and then shouted at me as I walked away. Please do not shop here. This is coming from a Bosnian person. Go to Santa Clara to Euro Market and Grill for fresh Bosnian goods. These people here are crooks, not to mention the store is dirty and they’re not much cleaner either. Bosnian people are kind and honest, these people and this store is a false representation of that.

I had a pretty messed up experience here today. My daughter came in for an ice cream, and we usually get a kid's scoop, which is $2.50. My daughter wanted to mix two flavors, so I asked the lady at the counter if that's still kid's scoop price, and she said yes. When she rang up the register, it was for $5.50, the price of a double scoop! I asked the lady if she made a mistake, she said no, because she meant two kid's scoops. I was livid, because that was completely dishonest. After coming to Aria for years, I told her I'll never come back again if she went through with the transaction, which she did. Dishonest and thieving lady!

We drove one hour to get to this place, and I can tell you we can definitely drive more if we have to. Everything was amazing. Having cevapi and lepinja that was almost like being home.

Came here on a Sunday morning because I saw a sign outside that reads "fresh smoothies".The Owners are super nice and bring good vibes.The smoothie has all fresh fruits, nothing frozen.they have a great looking ice cream parlor and then grocery store looks organized and very appealing.I'm coming in to try the ice cream next!

Great place! The owners and their tiny dog are very nice. If you need to make a gift basket for a foody friend this is the place to shop. They carry pelmeni, Tongue loaf, totally delicious marinated mushrooms, a lovely selection of teas and meats that I can't get anywhere else. I always find something new to try. I There are a number of unusual brandys and a selection of wine as well. European cookies, candies and pomegranate turkish delight so grab one of their shopping carts and try something you've never tasted before. We had coffee and dessert on a rainy day it was so pleasant. Next time I'm going to try their ice cream. So next time you are in Alameda try this little gem of a place.

I don’t know how this slipped through my typing fingers to not have given them 5 stars yet !I absolutely love this store!They have products from the Balkan! Macedonia, Serbia , Bosnia . The blend of all good flavors in traditions ! You can find from milk to the cooking supplies . And the people are always so nice and friendly !It’s lovely experience every time I shop here! I will give them 10 stars if I could !

I stopped in the other day to get 2 bagels and a small tub of cream cheese. The price was $10, which I thought was high for baked goods. When I got home and tried to slice the bagels open, they were rock hard. Not sure if I was given old bagels. I toasted and tried the bagels. They were ok, but the dough was very dense and I did not care for them. The service was not friendly, just pop the bagels in and pushed my direction, no smile or thank you. I don't think I will go back to this store. Not welcoming.

Worst lox bagel I’ve had. Everything tasted I dunno “low quality” and they didn’t put on capers.

I love this place. I've been going here for many years. The bagels have just the right chew. The cream cheese is satisfying and the staff is professional and friendly. My go to bagel is the pumpernickel.

Came here for the first time this morning, I got a dozen bagels and two containers of cream cheese. The check was over $30. I got bagels that are not freshly baked and bad service (the lady didn’t even say good morning or thanks). Won’t go there again.

The sandwich was good but they shorted me on my bacon on my sandwich and gave me literally half a slice of bacon. I paid for something and didn’t get it. I will definitely check my food before I leave next time 😡

I was walking to Starbucks which is right next door when I looked over and saw house of bagels. I paused for a moment, and then decided I’d much rather try something new as I was just in the area for an appointment. The service was so fast and my bagel was made so quickly that I stood there confused for a moment hahaha. Excellent efficient service and my bagel was delicious!

Asked for bagel with cream cheese & lox.They gave me literally like a teaspoon of cream cheese for the entire bagel. It didnt even fully cover the bottom half of the bagel, zero cream cheese on the top half. What a joke!

Fresh bagels, wide selection, reasonable prices and plenty of seating inside with tables also on the sidewalk.
