Neat little spot with patio seating and indoor seating. Staff is friendly and prompt. The chips crisp, salsa was great and had a slight hit of hotness, wife enjoyed the fresh guacamole.Wife had the 2 enchiladas, one chicken with green sauce and one beef with red sauce served with rice and beans. I had the combination, 2 enchiladas with taco rice beans. The chicken enchilada was just chicken —wished it had some flavor and green sauce mixed into the chicken to pop it. The green green sauce was great and not overbearing. The cheese enchilada with red sauce was good. Didn’t get a crispy beef taco as I’m used too as it was corn tortilla just slightly cooked as if soft but the shredded beef was good inside Rice was good, moist and flavorful. Beans to us was overcooked.Overall still a pleasant experience.

It was the hot spot for lunch in Taos. I took my order to go, as seating was very limited. Mainly patio seating. I ordered a veggie burrito, and hands down is my favorite burrito that I have had. The veggies were roasted zucchini and peppers. The green chili on top was perfection. It was an amazingly flavorful meal that I wish I had regular access to. Service was awesome, too. Friendly and fast

Jose took great care of us! Very delicious food. The dessert was also amazing - I was stuffed but happily ate through the pain.

Good food and service! Went in around noon on New Year’s Eve. They found a seat for me immediately and handled the rush well. I had the beef tenderloin special which was very much like fajitas. It was good!

The best Mexican food. It is a restaurant without fancy store front, can be easily missed, but the food was just great. The ingredients are fresh, nachos are great. Had seafood enchiladas which was so tasty and, the portion was large. Simply the best. Highly recommended when in Taos.

One of the most authentic Mexican food I have had so far. The restaurant was rustic with a laid back holiday vibe. We tried the Chipotle Shrimp Tacos and Beer-Battered cod fish tacos. The food was fresh and full of flavor. Seafood cooked to perfection. The beans and salsa stood out in my opinion. We tried the agave nectar margarita which complimented the meal. The inside seating was really small but it had a patio which was perfect for a warm sunny day. The place was pretty busy but we managed to get in after a 15 minute wait time. The service was fast too.

La Cueva serves great, super flavorful Mexican food. Came here for lunch and ordered the veggie burrito and veggie tacos. They were able to easily customize for vegan (no cheese and no sour cream). The food was delicious, better than most Mexican restaurants we often frequent. Staff was pleasant, large outdoor dog friendly patio and cozy space indoors with a few tables.

Cool, little hole in the wall, or should I say deck on the street. Seating is mostly outside. Great service, good prices, delicious food. All the umbrellas created a neat atmosphere. The bathroom doubled as a storage closet, but it served it's purpose. If I lived here, this might be my local hangout for good Mexican food and cold beer.

The food was outstanding. The tacos and the fajitas had so much flavor. The chips and salsa were also very good. Unfortunately you can only get free refills on the chips while salsa refills are extra. Fortunately most meals come with extra salsa. The patio space was interesting . Barely any parking

Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available but seating inside is in a smaller room. Overall, what’s not to love!We ordered the fish n chips, the seafood enchiladas (lots of crab!), veggie burrito, chilli rellenos topping it off with a delightful flan.Everything was excellent. Very good authentic Mexican food. Really small place and there is usually a line waiting. But we only waited for 10-15 minutes. Seems as if all seating is outside. I got the Frito Pie and my husband got the Chili Rellonos. Both were very good. Service was great and our server checked on us many times to make sure we were OK. Would definitely go back if ever in the area.

Had an excellent lunch here! The food is authentic and delicious. The eclectic environment on the patio had a great vibe, everyone enjoying themselves. I stopped in at just the right time, no line and received fast, friendly, excellent service! All the employees had smiles on their faces and were very polite and courteous. Thoroughly impressed with the entire experience, so much so that I stayed and had some nachos and a margarita! I will definitely return.

What a great dinner! The staff is super friendly and welcoming—especially with four-footed friends. 🐶 The food is excellent. We enjoyed a combo plate so we could taste more house specialties. The beef taco was succulent and rich. Go for the fish tacos, too! Everything is fresh and tasty. A real winner price-wise, too!

Went there today with my dog, George. I had the Broccoli salad, and it was fantastic. I tried the Mesa IPA and Beet gose. Everything was delicious. The staff were so nice and I love how they loved my George. He had a great time too. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I definitely recommend.

Wonderful place to stop at. A huge selection of spirits is sure to cater to just about anyone's pallet. The food came out quickly and was very well presented and made. Staff were attentive and delightful. Would totally recommend it!!!

We had an amazing time at Taos Mesa Brewing. I mean AMAZING. We had a party of 12 and as we waited for a table to be ready they brought us drinks in the lobby. The pizza was to die for and the staff was so nice to us even though we were noisy and high maintenance. COME HERE IF YOURE IN TAOS. We got the smoked quartz pizza and wings and loved it.!

Got carry out last night from Taos Mesa Brewing. I’ve been there before and had great pizza, tonight it wasn’t so great. The pizza is normally thin but last night it was overly thin. Made for a dry pizza, especially with the small amount of sauce that was on it. Hope this was a fluke and the pizza will be better next like it has been in the past. Very disappointed with the pizza I received. Three stars only because the pizza has been good in the past, otherwise would do 2 stars.

Tasty Tasty Tasty... the ciders were flavorful. we tried berry, crisp apple & blood orange, and I could have stayed drinking all day. 🤭 The food was fantastic. I can't say enough great things, especially about the pizza, we also had the Italian sandwich and side salad. I can't wait to go back and indulge more.

Food, beverage, and service were all in proper order on my recent Saturday night visit to the Tap Room. Beautiful patio weather and friendly locals made us feel right at home.Our server Cindy was prompt, polite and super helpful with her personal recommendations. She advised us to add snausage to the Smokey Quartz pie which really set it off. This pizza was busier than anything I’d normally order but I’m glad we took her tip. There is a lot going on with this pie but nothing was distracting as the ingredients complimented each other well. The lemon vinaigrette drizzle had almost a honey mustard type zing that tied the dish together.The stuffed mushrooms were fresh and flavorful but could have used a dash of salt.Between the three of us we enjoyed the Kolsch 45, Old 96 Sticke Alt, Koening Lager, and Fall Down Brown. Each a killer brew with flavors fit for a Tap Room twice the size.After seeing several beautiful salads being delivered to other tables we decided to split a small house salad for desert which rounded out an excellent experience.Pop in to the Taos Mesa Brewing Tap Room for a damn fine time. 🍻🍕🤌

I recently visited Taos Mesa Brewery and was blown away by the quality of the beer and the atmosphere of the brewery. The staff (especially Jeremy) were friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection of beers on tap was impressive.The standout beer was the TMB Session IPA - a delicious and well-balanced IPA with a great hop profile. I enjoyed the Purple Nurple, a very "berry forward" profile.The brewery itself was spacious and clean, with a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy the beer. I was also impressed by the food offerings - the Avocado & Beet salad was delicious and paired perfectly with our pizza and beer.Overall, I give this brewery a solid 5 stars. I will definitely be returning in the future and recommend this brewery to anyone looking for high-quality craft beer.

We ordered the Italian sandwich (we split it as we weren't starving) with a house salad, and WOW. Best meal I've had in years. The salad was so unique and delicious I didn't want it to end. The sandwich was perfect. Super impressed, what a gem of a place. Oh and the beer options are hard to pick from, they are all on point! Yum! Wish we had this place in Alamogordo!

This place was really cool! Stopped in with the girl got some drinks, the blood orange cider was great as well as their mosaic IPA.Adrianna was our server and she helped us have a really great experience, for food we did some garlic bread and a pizza and it came out looking better than I could have pictured tasted great as well.Cool atmosphere with some music and new mexico vibes.A must stop in Taos. Good people, food and beer!

Fun brewery with good beers, ciders, and great pizza. Lots of seating space, indoor and outdoor (dog friendly). Love that they had vegan mozzarella that can be subbed in for any pizza; the vegan cheese was really good and the pizza was cooked really well (loved the charred crust). The beer was tasty (tried the Mosaic IPA) and the cider exceeded my expectations. Staff was friendly too

Orlando's has a really cool outdoor area with chairs around a fire pit this time of year. The interior was cool and comfy. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The prices were good and the beer was very cold. I had the shrimp burrito. And while the shrimp was cooked perfectly, the dish was covered in the red chili sauce that didn't have much flavor. The entire dish had the same bland flavor, I would have preferred more variety. The hot cocoa also tasted like it was made with water and a hot chocolate packet.

We arrived close to 5 o'clock and we were the last table seated before 35-45 minute wait times. The hostess was great and very aware of the seating and people. The waitress was amazing! They had additional staff to help with drinks, appetizers, bringing food and clearing food. I think it helped the efficiency! The entire staff was great! I had the Los Colores and my husband had the beef burrito. Both were very flavorful and filling! I wished we had room for the flan because it looked amazing, but I ate too much and now I'm a fat happy kid!

The food was good at Orlando’s but we had to take it to go because when we arrived, they had a 2 hour wait for any party arriving at 6 PM or later. Carry out orders took 15 minutes which was perfect.Highly recommend to arrive earlier!Also definitely get the blue corn enchiladas with beef.

Absolutely charming. We loved everything about it, including the authentic New Mexican food, great presentation, aesthetic / decor / atmosphere and friendly service. The staff all seemed to love being there, as did the customers. That to me demonstrates something special, and it shows in the care and artistry of their plates. Popular spot serving Mexican food with a beautiful shaded patio area (dog friendly) as well as indoor seating. The food was great and flavorful - we ordered chips and salsa, the smothered veggie burrito (made vegan with no cheese) and blue corn tacos (made vegan by subbing in beans for the meat).The patio is nearly entirely shaded with different color umbrellas, which gave the restaurant a nice and colorful feel. There was around a 20 min wait when we arrived for lunch but there were chairs to sit in during the wait.

Arrived at 5:00pm and there was a long line. The line moved quickly and we were seated by friendly wait staff. My order was taken quickly by a helpful, friendly server. The food came out quickly. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and very good portions. My partner really enjoyed her chicken fajitas and the combo plate I had was excellent. I would highly recommend if you are in the Taos area.

It's been 20 years since I've been here. The food, service and atmosphere haven't changed a bit. Food was absolutely amazing. There was a wait when we arrived around 2:15, but it wasn't long they move quick here. Parking can be a little rough depending on how busy it is, but they do have an overflow parking area. Frito pie was fabulous. My husband got fajitas and my son got a burger.

Very busy, small restaurant on the main street through Taos. We ordered a smothered beef burrito and a 'choose your own bowl,' both of which were very good and filling. The food is well seasoned, and the serving size is large. There is a nice waiting area outside the restaurant with a fire pit when the day is chilly. Good place!

Rolling up to see the line to get seated was a bit discouraging. Def get there early if you can. If you can’t, it’s actually a good spot to hang out for a bit. The heated side room is cozy. For being such a popular spot, the staff was very pleasant and not rushed which vibes very well with the slow pace of Taos. We sat outside next to the fire and were well looked after. Definitely recommend the combination plate as everything was delish! The flan was also superbly smooth and rich. Easy to tell why Orlando’s is an institution!

The place is super cute. We were greeted quickly and taken to our seat early. The apps were the highlight of the night. We got all three on the menu. The elk, burger and gnocchi were all good. But the apps really stole the show. They don’t really have a bar, all drinks are premade. They have 4 wines by the glass.

It was an incredible experience! We came to this restaurant based on our friends' recommendation but didn't have a reservation. Unfortunately, we were denied entry, being told it was strictly by prior booking. We were quite disappointed as we had traveled a long way. Eventually, as we were leaving, a waiter caught up with us and said he could seat us after all. We were overjoyed.Now, about the food – oh my gosh, it was simply unbelievably delicious! 🤤 Truly unforgettable. We had fish, bison meat, a light salad, and duck. Each dish was exquisite! The restaurant is charming and cozy, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Thank you 😊!

We were very excited to try this restaurant as everyone around the town was recommending to have a dinner here. The food was good. I am not sure if it was just a busy night but the only thing that was lacking was a good service.

What a delicious meal we had tonight. Every dish was beautifully prepared and each was absolutely delicious! The branzino was stuffed with the best pico de gallo I’ve ever tasted! I highly suggest The Love Apple. It a beautiful space and the staff are all very gracious and friendly. I don’t think you could go wrong with any dish on the menu! We even ran into an old friend from 20 yrs ago who has moved back to Taos and is working there. What a lovely night.

Gorgeous little converted church. Inside and outside dining, with a welcoming fire pit as you walk into the little courtyard. Food is beautifully done with great local ingredients. Staff couldn't be lovelier. Had the mushroom starter, salad with apple and candied pecans, mole tamale, and fried avo tacos in killer house-made flour tortillas.

While on a vacation primarily focused on the Santa Fe area we also took a trip up to Taos. We had little knowledge of the restaurant scene here (and no expectations), but on the first night in town we were delighted by this place. Creative menu, beautiful prepared, great service and a really nice vibe.

I was in Taos with a friend of mine for her birthday, and on our first night in town we were looking for a nice place to have dinner. We called Love Apple, a restaurant with locally sourced food served in an 1800s church. Sylva took the call as hostess and let us know that, while they didn't have any reservations open until 8 pm, they do occasionally get cancellations and we could come over. (Note to visitors: the restaurant is in a very small space, with around a dozen tables inside and out. It’s worth calling as early as possible to book a reservation.)What a great place! The architecture has been lovingly preserved, with the traditional walled courtyard and the original steeple still in place (though a little canted). Sylva met us at the door with a welcoming smile and virtually radiated light. She said we could look around and then meet her back in the courtyard as she might have a table available. And she did! She seated us at a 5-top in the middle of the raised platform where the altar used to be, "because you love this old church as much as we do." She even brought over a book of black and white photo plates from the Southwest, and one of them was the old church when it was still a sanctuary, back in the 1940s. We were both still in our traveling clothes, but she said it was fine. How accommodating!We had a WONDERFUL meal! Our waitress was Alexandra, and she was fabulous. She was friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful as we navigated the menu. (Note to visitors: the menu changes daily, based on availability of ingredients, so you won’t be able to see it on the website for the restaurant. Rest assured that every choice is SUPERB.) We both started with the blue cornmeal muffins with lemon and strawberry butter—quite tasty! I had tortilla soup, followed by the trout with fresh roasted vegetables. My friend had the beef street tacos and asked them to put the tortillas on the side for me; that was nice because my meal didn't come with a starch option. Alexandra helped me pair a glass of wine with my meal, and the vintage she recommended (a local rose) was perfect! We finished with a flourless chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!! All the flavors were artfully combined to create a unique taste which elevated every dish above the norm. It was so much more than we expected, and we wished we had room to sample other menu options.The space itself is absolutely charming. The original lines of the structure are all still present, and we could see how the owners respected the history of the building. The interior is open and airy, with a high ceiling and whitewashed walls, while the exterior courtyard has been repurposed with picnic-style tables for al fresco dining under a pergola covered in flowering vines. The glow of fairy lights makes both the inner and outer spaces warm and inviting. Inside, there are several chandeliers made by a local artisan which are truly stunning. The entire room is as gorgeous as an art gallery.We took lots of photos before dinner as we looked around, and a few during the meal as well. After dinner, as we were leaving, Sylva gave us each a hug and we thanked her for making my friend's birthday dinner so special. It was absolutely the best meal of our trip! We can’t wait to return to Taos, just so we can eat at Love Apple!

Very cute restaurant with amazing tasting food. We ordered the duck, trout, hamburger, beat salad, leak soup, and corn bread. All tasted fantastic except the trout, which was ok (bland tasting). Highly recommend the place. They have a great patio for outside seating

What a charming, lovely, fine dining experience! This restaurant has taken the fine dining to a different level with their unique combination of fresh and locally sourced ingredients. So satisfying! The decor, the mood, the lighting, and the music made this a perfect location to celebrate a special night. Our waiter patiently assisted us choosing the meals that suits our appetite being vegetarian. We shared Seasonal fruit, local greens, pecans and warm goat cheese salad followed by Love Apple Tacos (vegetarian) and a tasty dessert. I'd LOVE to be back here again one day.

We loved our dinner at The Love Apple. The service was attentive, informative and super friendly. The atmosphere (we dined outside) was casual and comfortable. The food was well-prepared, interesting and delicious. The mole on my tamale was one of the most interesting I've ever tasted - thicker and not as sweet as I've experienced previously. The sauce on my wife's gnocchi was delicious, and interesting - we tasted carrots and rosemary amongst other flavors. There are many tempting options on the menu for both carnivores and vegetarians. I strongly recommend The Love Apple for a delicious, upscale dining experience

Dined in on a Wednesday at 1145a with a co-worker. Before we even reached the front door to the facility it opened by a hostess type who greeted us, ushered us in and to a table. The inside is fairly small and has 10 tables of 4, plus a bar that seats half a dozen or so.A server was at our table fairly quickly. I ordered the mango chicken enchilada plate and my co-worker the Baja Fish tacos with black beans and rice.The food came out fairly quickly and looked visually stunning, lots of bright colors and well plated. My food tasted good and I enjoyed it. My co-worker said he didn't care for his fish taco as much because they were too greasy.We were able to pay at the table with cards etc. The facility is nice. The speed of service was good. The prices are a little high but considering the market this place is in I'm sure they are more than appropriate. The food is ok but I was expecting more. I'd eat here again.

First time experiencing this top rated TripAdvisor restaurant and it was tasty. Huge portions sizes in my personal opinion. It’s New Mexican cuisine in a family style restaurant vibe. The salmon was good but a huge portion to finish it all. Friends enjoyed their meals too. Service- prompt, friendly and professional. I would go back if I was craving good New Mexican food.

Cozy authentic Mexican foid,food, of the best we have had in Taos....server put in our order a little late, think he forgot about us for a minute so the breading on the fish tacos where a tiny bit doughy but I think that was because they where trying to make up time. But the food was outstanding over all, my wife had the mango chicken enchiladas...they where absolutely amazing, we will be back!!!

The food was delicious! The service was really fast, our servers were nice, the outdoor seating was excellent, and the food was the best we had in New Mexico! The ceviche tacos were particularly great, as well as the goat cheese salad. I definitely would recommend stopping in if you’re in Taos!

They only take reservations for 6 or more. We got there around 6:00 on a Sunday and every table was full. There are only about 10 tables. Outside seating was available but it was a bit chilly. There were seats at the small bar so we sat there. Took awhile for someone to acknowledge us, but it was super busy. Drinks were a bit pricey, $14 for Tito's and soda, but it was a large glass and a good pour. We shared the steak fajitas with rice, beans and delicious guacamole! All was tasty! Steak was sizzling and tender and a good portion. The owner Antonio took the time to chat with us even though he was busy waiting tables! His wife Sarah recommended the chocolate cake with raspberry and mango sauces. OMG! moist and delicious and large! Enjoyed everything! Would go back.

Started with the frozen house margarita and the chips and queso. (Everyone in Taos charges for this so be ready for that.)Antonio himself greeted and served us. The wife wanted the chicken enchiladas but Antonio recommended the Mango Chicken Enchiladas… she was very happy with the outcome!Try not to laugh, I ordered the Mexican cheeseburger. Mexican because of the roasted green chilies on it. I was literally blown away by the flavors!!! If you order this, you may get snickered at but, you won’t be disappointed!!!We were stuffed and satisfied at the end of our meal and reaffirmed that patronizing local establishments is 100% the way to go!!!

In Taos for a short visit. TripAdvisor recommended this place and they were 100% on! Absolutely delicious and (importantly for us) Gluten Free meals!! We had the Salmon Tacos, Taos Tacos and the Chile Relleno. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing time Antonio is really just an awesome man all around. His style of cooking ofthe Vera Cruz traditional cuisine was just to die for. We ended up staying until they closed which they didn't mind at all and even brought us out special drinks. They treat their customers with respect and they are just so polite. My wife is from Mexico and she agreed 100% on the authenticity of the dishes. She guessed before he even told us he was from Vera Cruz. We had an awesome date night, fabulous service and had the best churros and tres leches cake we have ever had. Thank you Antonio we will be back again for the sirloin steak fajitas on a hot plate!!!!

Best mexican food that I have had so far. Exceptional service as well, they come and talk to every guest to make sure everything is good. Mango cheesecake dessert is on point. Not too sweet.

We are locals and decided to check out Antonio's! It was recently featured on Diners Drive In's and Dives!The food was amazing only complaint on the food was the posole was over salted and the chicken to posole ratio was very off! All but one of the staff (blonde woman) were very cordial and accommodating!We will definitely go back for a date night!

This is a nice quaint spot when first pulling into Taos from Santa Fe. It's a small but very comfortable And relaxed spot. Servers were friendly and the food was top notch. I had the green Chile burger and it was delicious. A bit over cooked from the medium i requested but still delicious. The enchilada plate was delicious.

I realllly loved this restaurant. Friendly to all, lots of gf vegetarian, vegan, and meat choices. Traditional well done Mexican food. They told me that in September , Diners- Drive-ins and Dives , had come and filmed them. Especially delicious was a house Speciality: Chile Relleno en Nogada, using finely ground and spiced beef inside a poblano (not spicy) chile.. with a most amazing sauce and garnished with pomegranate. I ate every bite. From regions around Oaxaca. Many specials as well. Nice bar, there was a tv.. but it wasn't obtrusive. Calm atmosphere, many different types of people there, outside terrace in good weather. Beautiful wooden tables. Wait staff very nice, paid a good deal of attention, but not too much. It's NM so fairly casual. Some people dressed up. Margaritas good! Guac.. spicy. Fun place. I WILL be back! P.s. I believe they do take out.

I'm from Ohio and I've had better American Mexican there. The ceviche was SALTY. My blue corn Buffalo enchiladas were bland. The food turned my stomach & I got sick about half an hr after leaving. Then I was fine. Do not recommend at all.

This would have been a 5 star experience but it went down down down at the end. Our server was super chill and sweet. She was very attentive for the first hour and 1/2. After that, we were virtually ignored by her as she scrambled to take care of larger and more lucrative parties. The manager stepped up but why couldn't she bring us our bill? We sat there for a 1/2 hour waiting for it. In my book, there is no "Taos Time" at expensive restaurants. There is a standard of service that should be upheld with no excuses. The mushroom bisque was awesome, the steak was good, the flavors all good but I expect to be paid attention to consistently and all the way through just like I was at the beginning. Don't bother dressing up, there were jeans and ski vests here like at most places (which is cool and not cool) Service is important and you can lose reputation on this alone even if the food is good. Desserts were huge! Would I go back? I haven't decided yet (and yes we are purchasing land in the area so I'm not just a tourist or touron).

We arrived without reservations on a Monday and were seated in the bar area where we received excellent attention and service from our server, Danielle. Deb had a filet mignon done to her specifications which led to her satisfaction. I had a tartare small plate and a small plate truffle fries that we shared though it was so large it was almost hard to finish. Almost.Dinner was followed by a desert called Bowl of Bliss. Warm gingerbread over caramelized apple slices, topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with toffee syrup. Aptly named.We’ve eaten at Lambert’s over the years and have always found it a great experience. Highly recommend it.

We love the bar upstairs (the treehouse). Local vibe, good service and yummy food. Loved the smoked trout deviled eggs. Elevated and unique menu items.

This was a very special, unique experience. The atmosphere is very intimate. The sections of the restaurant and very small and closed in. My partner and I didn't realize how upsclae this place was. You'll feel more comfortable if you dress really well..We ordered the carrot bisque and roasted beet salad for starters. The bisque was spicy, but delicious! Beet salad was good.Bread and butter with roasted garlic were fabulous!As the main, my partner and I both shared the special scallop dish and Regal Crest Farms Chicken Breast. The food was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fantastic. I would highly recommend both dishes.

Wish I could give more stars. They got us in on a Saturday night without a reservation and gave us an amazing table. Our server was wonderful and our food was beyond delicious. Their fillet and butter poached lobster tails are out of this world. The entire experience was so perfect that we made a reservation for the next night and ate there again only to have an even better experience because we tried more menu items. Romaine salad was like a much tastier Caesar and the seafood spaghetti is also a huge yes. This place is a MUST visit when in Taos, so call in advance to ensure you get a table!

Beautiful way to enjoy dinner in Taos upstairs at the bar at Lambert's on Bent Street. Got the Roasted Squash with Chicken Breast with Southern style Black Eyed Peas. Fantastic flavors and high quality ingredients. Reliable, delicious and good service.

Staff members were attentive and warm.Food was well prepared, and unlike most other restaurants in Taos, not oversalted.The only issue is the source material, such as the filet and the bison for example, they were flavorless.Not the cook’s doing, but the purveyors of the meat.

Great food, service, and ambiance! We sat outside and enjoyed the romain salad, steak tartar, chicken, steak filet, and pasta dishes. They all were excellent. The strawberry rhubarb pie was perfectly sweet and sour combinationand delicious way to finish the meal. Ask for Joe for the waiter. He was so polite and responsive.

Fantastic dinner. Alex's service was wonderful! Highlights were the lamb (thinly sliced, so tender), the tomato tart, and the garlic confit and smoked trout mousse bread accoutrements.

I love this place for breakfast! The place is like a gallery with beautiful works everywhere. The food was also amazing, I definitely recommend anything with the carne adovada! My friends and I were well fed for going to the hot springs after!!

Best chile rellenos ever. Chicharrone burrito is delicious too. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We ate here three times in a week. The old building it’s in is super cool too.

Went for Saturday breakfast with my kiddo. He had the french toast and I had huevos rancheros. Green chili sauce was delicious. The reason for 4 stars was because we were waiting for a table and another group of 2 came in and was seated right away, so a miscommunication between staff.

The Chile adovada was very flavorful and I enjoyed the raspberry iced tea on a hot summer day. Aesthetic outdoor scenery by the St Francis of Asis church. Delicious sopapillas and New Mexico chile mixed with ground pork. My husband had the blue corn enchiladas and they were also super flavorful with the green hatch Chile on top. We ordered without cheese as we cannot have dairy but everything was still delicious despite not having cheese. Service was phenomenal and very caring staff.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful authentic New Mexican dinner at the Ranchos Plaza Grill. Most of us ordered variations of the stuffed sopapillas which came with an extra sopapilla that we ate with honey. The service was outstanding and there was plenty of parking. The restaurant is next to one of our favorite churches and there are plenty of photo opportunities.

All the hype is true!! This is the best food in Taos! You can tell a lot about a place by their salsa & guacamole. The guac was so fresh with just the right amount of spice and big chunks of avocado. The salsa had a rich smokiness that made me want to take a jar to go. The entrees were amazing especially the carne adovada. It was braised for hours, so tender it melts in your mouth. And finally the sopopillas were warm, fluffy, and perfectly done. Squirt a little honey on them and they are all that’s good in this world! The wait is worth it. The service was friendly and they make you feel welcome. The restaurant itself is quite large on the inside but something about eating outside in their courtyard made the experience perfect.

I got their special, the carne adovado which tasted good but it's tough and is served as a patty. You really need a steak knife to properly cut it but all you get is a butter knife. I'm not a fan of runny eggs so I ordered them scrambled but received over easy. I didn't want to wait another twenty minutes so I just tried to eat around the eggs. Service is slow and fragmented. Each employee will only do one thing and it's hard to know which will get you water or food. No alcohol served.

Asked for Raspberry ice tea - was more of a hibiscus. Good of you like that, glad my daughter would drink it! Food was good. Service not so great.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, especially sitting outside on the patio in the autumn air. The service was impeccable. Sarah, our server, was the sweetest and very attentive. The food was amazing. It was my husband's birthday and he wanted trout and all the reviews led us to Martyrs. We were not disappointed. The trout was perfect, the golden beet salad amazing, French fries some of the best we've had. And the desserts are top notch. Definitely a place we will seek out when returning to Taos!

What a fun place to have a meal! The outside patio area was lovely...AND the indoor area looked beautiful ...except it was a hot summer day!!! The bar is very inviting, the bathrooms are beautiful and clean. The atmosphere is truly lovely!This restaurant is in the center of town, great location! We had such a great experience at Martyrs Steakhouse. We called and Alfonso, the host got us in right away. Our waiter, Ian was very efficient and personable. Our meals were excellent. I would highly recommend having a meal here while visiting Taos. I normally don’t write reviews but my family and I was so impressed with our service and meal, I had too.

Our dinner plans changed last minute and Martyer was very gracious to accommodate us. Our waitress was great and recommended the perfect entrees for each of us. The steak, steak medallions, and beet salad was heavenly. The outdoor seating was serene.

My parents were in town, they love steak, I’m vegan, yet we all liked our dinner at Martyrs, especially the desserts.

There was a long line on a Saturday morning, but it moved fast. This place has been voted the best breakfast place in Taos and they fully deserve this recognition. It has a large menu and everything is tasty. A great place!

Delicious food, friendly staff. The pastries were beautifully made and delicious. The food came very fast, don’t be afraid of the long line, it moves quickly and the food is worth it. Staff is very efficient. Tobias was our server, and he was fantastic. Strongly recommend the breakfast enchilada.

Small selection of pastries. The cinnamon roll was good but there didn’t seem to be enough frosting to match the thick bun. The croissant was alright. My wife wasn’t a big fan of the cheese inside it. The hot chocolate was very good! Decently priced too

No trip to the Enchanted Circle is complete without breakfast at Michael’s! Our favorites are the breakfast enchilada, cinnamon roll and biscuits & gravy. Get the whole group organized and there early to beat the crowd (have to all be there to sit). Take a trip by the bakery displays before you go. You’ll want this feeling to last for as long as you can, so clear room in the car for some take-home!

Good diner food with a New Mexican flare. This place has a wide variety of things to choose from for breakfast and lunch. They serve breakfast all day with some exceptions of things done by 11:30. They have many omelette and egg breakfast options with plenty of green chili to smother your plate. For lunch the dish up huge salads, sandwiches and burgers. My mom got the chef salad and was impressed by the size. I chose the veggie burger. That was good and the french fries were double fried. The price is reasonable at $12 -$16 a plate.

We had about a ten-minute wait to get in on a Friday morning around 10am. The line moved quickly. Nice atmosphere inside and a decent selection of breakfast items, many with a New Mexican twist. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a simple eggs and sausage link breakfast and German pancakes with a side of eggs. The coffee was pretty good as was the food. The plate presentation was pretty basic. Scrambled eggs were more folded than fluffy. The pastries and donuts in the bakery looked delicious. Our server, Michael, was terrific.

Server Grace was very nice. My husband liked his huevos Ranchero. I ordered a side of guacamole which was just smashed avocado. And breakfast enchilada ($13). The rice was overcooked & the only real flavor the dish had was the heat from the red & green Chile. The server did take it off the bill which I do appreciate.

A really fine breakfast served in a rustic setting with exceptional coffee. The raisin bread french toast had a rich eggy coating and the bacon was perfectly prepared. The green chili is tasty without setting your tongue on fire. Don't leave without a pass through the bakery for take home goodies. GO EARLY or the line is out the door even on a week day. Efficient friendly staff.

This was a very popular place at the time we visited. We had just a very short wait before we were seated. The menu is packed with items from which to choose. The food and service were very good. Parking can be tricky because the restaurant is located in a busy part of town and their parking lot was full when I went.

We had an excellent bacon cheeseburger and the best breakfast enchiladas since Betty White was a baby.The service was great. Michael had all the best recommendations.But what I'm upset about is I did not save room for the cream puffs and other WOW style baked goods.Now we have to come back.

Dining at Michael’s kitchen is like dining in your mothers kitchen at home. The experience feels like you are apart of their family. The food is amazing. The staff are happy and attentive.The menu has a large variety of breakfast items and is affordable. There is something delicious and tasty for everyone. Prices were moderate. Service was quick. You would give it. The coffee was good and I made it about 3 1/2 stars out of five and not exceptional but definitely adequate. They also had a highchair for the children child. They are chocolate eclairs with the filling cream is highly recommended. All food stamps were hot and served right away.

We made reservations for Christmas Day a few days prior and we’re surprised to find they still had open times. We had a love corner booth. The shrimp appetizer was good, but pretty small and we didn’t realize it was fried.The dinner portions were quite large. The coating on the chili rellenos was made in house and fantastic. The rice and beans were wonderful. The desserts were unique and sounded fantastic, but we didn’t save room.Service was a bit slow, but to be expected on such a busy day. DON’T waste your money on this place. Please go somewhere else!Food: Firstly, the “Ribeye” fajitas did not look like any of the pictures on here. And they sure as hell were not worth $38!! It was a pathetic amount of meat. The queso was cold and bland.Just save yourself and don’t go here. The bar next door if fine!Service: they need to have some formal training on how to be a server! I’ve had better service at Applebees! If you check in on a table and ask if you need anything, why don’t you give people 2 seconds to respond before walking away. Just poor, slow, forgetful service.

Our meal was promptly served with a very brief wait time which was much appreciated! I ordered the blue corn chicken enchiladas, served Christmas (red and green chile). The food portions were more than adequate to satisfy a hungry appetite but not so much as to be overwhelming. The chips and salsa were were excellent, no stale corn chips, they were crispy and fresh and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and was cheerfully attentive to our needs and requests. All in, it was a very pleasant and satisfying dinner experience!

What happened to this place? It used to be the greatest place for food and drinks. The food has gone all the way downhill, nothing has flavor. A limited menu on top of an already very small menu to begin with is absurd. One would think with ten menu items the new chef would be able to make at least one of those items good. Nope wrong. The margaritas are all ice with barely any drink in them, wine list is poor. They had awards at one time for selling great wine now the list is so small you’d miss it if you blink. No one in there is knowledgeable on the very few varieties they do have to offer. Then they turn people away while there are several tables visibly open and available in the restaurant. But we’re able to sit at the Adobe bar with live, loud music, makes absolutely no sense at all when the menu is the same on both ends. Exact words were, we’re not taking walk ins on this side but you can seat yourself on that side. Mind you the entire restaurant was empty. The new corporate owners need to reevaluate their entire management team because this place is going to be bankrupt fast. Such a shame to see at a historical landmark that once had so much to offer both locals and tourists.

Came here for Valentines Day while in town. Our server Michael was fantastic. He was really on top of it. He made sure we had an awesome experience at Doc Martin's. Thanks again for making our night, Michael! The relleno appetizer is so good! We highly recommend it!

Everything was fantastic. Chili relleno, queso fundido, and carne asada were stellar. Perfect Margarita earned it's reputation. Get a reservation, because there aren't many restaurants downtown any more.

My husband and I stopped here one evening while in Taos. We tried their Chile relleno which was absolutely delicious. I loved the presentation with the pepitas. The outer shell was so good and crunchy. We also had their salsa and chip. The salsa was super spicy but tasty. My husband had a margarita and he said it was the best one he’s had on our trip. Being pregnant, they made me a non-alcoholic margarita using passionfruit I believe and it blew me away. It’s hard to get a good mocktail, but I am still dreaming about this concoction to this day. Service was awesome and we really enjoyed being able to sit outside.

We stopped by for Mother's day dinner and celebrating mom's birthday. Our server was excellent. Food was also great.

Doc Martin’s has a very nice atmosphere, however the food and service was average. The rice and pinto beans lacked in flavor especially for the price point of the entree’s. Our sever was friendly and polite but not very attentive. The margaritas were splendid.

Tamales were hard and crumbly, but everything else was quite good.The prickly pear Margarita rival the ones at the White Buffalo Saloon in Marathon, Texas.

We've been here before and we came back for the food and experience. Doc Martin's has a limited menu so that they can focus on providing interesting entrees. We had the Blue Corn Encrusted Trout and Ribeye Fajitas. Also on our table Wes the Doc's Relleno appetizer. The chilli had a thick red crusted on it. We raced to eat it. The full trout came withe the head and all the scales and fins. Yes, It was all good.

Service: 5/5 stars, our waitress was very prompt with taking our orders, and was always checking in on us.Atmosphere: 4.5/5 stars, there was live music and the ambiance of the whole place was great. Lively, cheery, fun.Food/Drinks: 4/5 stars, the food was very good and you got a VERY healthy serving of it, with lots of sides, and plenty of food to fill your belly.The spicy margarita was absolutely fantastic as well.

Had an amazing brunch here. Everything we ordered was amazing waffles, soup, burrito, hot chocolate. The service was quick. I experienced amazing Taosian hospitality at this restaurant. I had forgotten my bag here and was already on a flight back home. Their manager took the pains of sending my bag through courier the very next day. He was so helpful when he didn't really have to.

What an absolute hidden gem this place is! Stopped by while driving through Taos and had incredible food. Server was very attentive and even went downstairs to grab us more coconut milk for a cappuccino! New Mexican Chicken and Waffle was a really fun play on a classic, but if you want to go the safer route, they have a mean breakfast burrito too. Not too pricey and completely worth the money you spend there. To top everything off, the restaurant is clean, modern, and bright, a very nice atmosphere to enjoy great food.

The eggs with avocado spread was really yummy! I forgot to take a pic, but the presentation was excellent! Definitely recommend breakfast or lunch here.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a break from New Mexican food and we tried this restaurant this afternoon for lunch. The food- very impressed with the lunch menu selections of healthy options. I personally had the California sandwich with a cup of fruit and it was good. The pickle could of been bigger but it still did the job. Good and prompted service. Nice outdoor seating area for people watching and enjoying the warm weather. We did have a 20 minute wait for the kitchen but it was worth it. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch in Taos.

I ordered the avocado in the morning, and I thought it was very good. Pretty straightforward, but tasty.It felt a bit pricey at $14 for the dish, but everything with avocado is that way. Also, it seemed like that dish should have come with breakfast potatoes based on how the menu is organized, but none were brought out out to me. I knew I wouldn't have eaten a whole side so I didn't ask the waitress, but just an FYI to note. The waitress was nice so I'm sure if it was a mistake she would have corrected it. (I did try the potatoes from someone at my table, they weren't anything special).I also ordered the latte, which was decent but a very small size. There was a lot of milk foam, but very little "liquid" in the cup. For $6 I had hoped for more - but, they did fill it up with more (normal) coffee for free, which probably justified the price.I'd put this more at about a 3.5 if I could.

They allow dogs on the patio so we were able to keep our doggos with us. The salads are large and made with spring salad type Lettuce. The California sandwich was huge and very tasty! The omelet was smaller but also very good. The ambiance is awesome! Highly recommend this place!

Awesome experience! Spicy, tasty chicken tortilla soup! And the fish and chips really are as delicious as they say. The tartar sauce was fantastic. Great time, we highly recommend!

First time eating at The Alley Cantina. I liked the overall mood and energy this place puts out. The food is actually really decent and is not the same old chain restaurant food from town to town. The waitresses and the host were all super cool, and we will now have a go-to spot whenever we're in Taos.

Great spot to grab some food and hang out. Open late and located in an alley just behind Taos Plaza. Came on a weekend and it was busy, but didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for a table. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. I had the Green Chile Cheeseburger and it was the perfect spiciness level. They have a lot of other New Mexican dishes I would love to try. Guess I'll just have to go back to try them all.

We got the chili relleno and the green chili burger. Both were ok as far as flavor, but they are extremely overpriced for what you get. Imagine a backyard burger for $13 just not worth it.

I’ve been here several times. It deserves 5 stars for being the only place in town opened late. Taos shuts down early but god bless the ally for staying open until midnight. Most places shut down at 8.The menu has a vast range from bad food to exceptional. It just depends on what you get. I’ve had a bad meal here, and the best meal in taos. We’ve always had great service here. Wish I could shout out our waitress but she was excellent with dealing with our annoying group. Any edit we wanted she had no problem with.This visit I got the pretzel, tortilla soup and fish and chips. Substituted the chips for onion rings. Y’all the onion rings are amazing. Not the best fried fish I’ve had, but really good. The tortilla soup was top notch.Bottom line you can’t come to taos without visiting the alley. It is the cultural spot for food for the town.

Update: 11/1/2021 - Just came back for a second time. Definitely out favorite place in Taos.The Alley Cantina is our new favorite place to eat and drink in Taos, NM. The Fish and Chips are awesome...lightly battered, thick, juicy fish, with fresh homemade tartar sauce. My wife had Chili Releno for the first time and she loved it, very flavorful and not too spicy. We are from Texas, and this place has Shiner Bock beer, so cool! There is a cool bar and pool table inside. The outdoor patio is very nice.

Timeless spot. Dripping with authenticity. Perfect southwestern cuisine, no pretensions. Friendly servers. Delicious margaritas. Kind to children but also open until 1am. Shuffleboard and pool. Taos historic district. Can’t recommend enough! Enjoy!

We came for happy hour on a Monday and had a great time out on the patio! Food is delicious and drinks cheap and decently strong. The tortilla soup is super spicy! Would definitely come back next time I'm in Taos.

The chicken tortilla soup is a must if you eat here. It has so many ingredients and just the right amount of spice. I got the bowl and it came with a soft tortilla. It was just the right amount for a satisfying lunch.

Great place for a drink. Had the Sagre Sangria with Pinot Grigio which was very good. All of the drinks were refresh and exactly what we needed after a day if sightseeing.

This place was ok. If you’re visiting Taos, there are so many better options. The service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, informative and attentive. However, the food and atmosphere had a lot to be desired. The restaurant gave off a dive bar vibe, and it didn’t seem to intend to. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it came with a cheese spread that you could buy at a grocery store. Not the best. They have tables set up right next to a server station with cleaning products, stuff everywhere etc. host stand was also messy with food, phones, and other junk. Employees were all super friendly and attentive however. Wouldn’t go back though.

Good for lunch. Great for a Saturday night! Attentive, caring staff. Great, I mean surprisingly great live music. Good pool table. The owner even comes in to sling drinks on Saturday night and they do tabs old fashioned style, with a name.Great spot

I tend to stop here whenever in Taos. Not only a historical place but the food is great. While it can get busy I have never had a problem getting a seat. Restaurant has a full bar. Staff has always been friendly. It's not a super fancy place but it's definitely relaxing.

The vegetarian bowl was a perfect balance of sweet and salty fresh veggies. The sangria was a nice balance of fruit and wine. I highly recommend Guitz. The morning outside seating was a little too sunny and right by the road, so sitting inside may have been better.

Very delicious food, and the dining environment is very lively. Thank you to the waiter of the hotel where I live for introducing this restaurant to us. We are very satisfied with the food. If you are unsatisfied, you need to line up to order, and there are many people in line. In addition, CHIPS AND SALSA is not a gift.

Sadly, the great service didn’t make up for the lackluster food. Hands down, all of the staff here were great and friendly.The food wasn’t bad, and most likely satiates the taste buds of tourists from the Midwest and south, but I found my food to be rather lacking as a Californian.Additionally, I felt it was really expensive (like Disneyland expensive). The quantity was great but the taste for the price didn’t match. For four of us we spent almost $100.I can’t say I’d recommend this place. If you’re in northern New Mexico, you need to try authentic New Mexican food…the sister to a lot of well known Mexican food.

Fantastic as usual. If there is a line, it is worth the wait. Went to the north Taos location today and had the carnitas plate with a side of chips and guac. Nephew has the beef taco plate. Delicious. I recommend this, in either location when I am in Taos.

Bursting with flavor! I had the guacamole and chips, and the shrimp tacos. The patio has a lovely view of the mountains. Everyone was so nice. Even though it was busy, my food was out in a flash. Highly recommend.

The hall is a fantastic example of authentic New Mexico adobe construction. I have not seen any music in old Martina's hall since the renovation but I am sure it still maintains the qualities that made the building feel like it was breathing when the music started. I love mud huts and this one is fantastic! I am happy old Martina put up with the pains of restoration to keep this place alive.

Our last night in Taos and we ended it with an amazing meal at the Old Martina's Hall. The owner came over to thank us for dining with them on their last night as she voluntarily decided to shut down for the duration of the virus attack. This building is over two hundred years old and she did a beautiful job renovating it. When this crisis is over and the country is back to normal I highly recommend having dinner here!

This is a cash, check or venmo only business at the heart of downtown Taos. They serve different kinds of mocha and other hot drinks. We ordered the Mocha Negra and Mocha with orange zest. We liked both very much. They're not too sweet and goes well with their coffee cakes. Comes in three sizes and customizable for vegan customers.

Great coffee, friendly and helpful staff. My wife spilled coffee, but they took it in stride to clean up and even offered another one for no charge. Outstanding service! But, they also made the best tasting latte I've had in a very long time.

Such a blessing for Taos and for visitors like me. Tiny and terrific. The best Breve Latte I've had anywhere in the Southwest. The ladies who make up the dynamic crew are intensely cool. My Taos friend who has lived here over 40 years took me to the coffee house and what a gift it is. When I visit again it will be my first stop, even before my friend's house! Jonny, just kidding.....The day I showed up at opening they discovered that someone had broken a large window next to the door in the night, entered, and strangely only took a roll of quarters and the small change that was left overnight in the till. How do they do it? How do they get it right every time? I'm in awe of the beverage brujas at World Cup Cafe, fiercely focused and simultaneously feisty and friendly. They rule with their badass playlists (Ethiopian, Greek, and African music on the morning I visited) and pithy postcards. And unlike many other high-ranking coffee specialty bars, their non-caffeinated offerings are just as inspired as their incomparable coffee drinks. I had a ginger turmeric oat milk latte that is still haunting me like a handsome maharaja. What could be more pleasant than sitting on their outdoor bench, chatting amiably with strangers, and watching the parade of eclectics go by? Or sitting inside at the bar and writing postcards to all of your far flung friends? For me, no trip to Taos would be complete without stopping at World Cup.

Busy, quaint coffee shop in the heart of Taos. My husband and I both thought our drinks were perfect! I got the Mocha Picante, and my husband got a vanilla latte.

I really liked this coffee shop, but yesterday, I had a horrible experience there and will not be returning. The barista was incredibly rude. I asked for a suggestion without caffeine and told him I was a tea drinker. He suggested green tea, which has caffeine. I declined and asked to check behind him on the board because I could not read it, and I knew from the past that they have options without caffeine. He then rudely commented that "this was a coffee shop" and basically, since I did not like his first suggestion, he was not going to help me. I told him that he was rude and left.

Tiny place that feels really crammed. The americano was really hot, but the barista refused to give me another cup or a cup holder, told me to use a napkin instead.

Loved this artisan chocolate shop. They have an open concept so you can watch them make the chocolate in the back. I popped in to get myself a little Valentine’s Day gift. I love the unique flavored the offer and how they incorporate herbs into their chocolates. The Barista was friendly and joked with me as he made my cappa. Wonderful staff. The have beautiful mural art as well

This was an interesting place. We enjoyed the sipping chocolate and liked the different ways they offered it (iced, over ice cream, etc.) But we really loved the mousse! So light and delicious! Service was excellent as well. They didn't rush the ordering process and answered questions.

I ordered a variety of chocolate bars off of their website on a recommendation. Absolutely gorgeous chocolate, high quality single sourced beans provide unique, complex flavors without anything more than cocoa and sugar. I found their flavor profile descriptions were spot on too.While specialty chocolates are always going to cost a bit more, it is worth every penny, and per oz is still one of the cheaper specialty chocolates I've ordered/seen (and one of the best!). Will definitely keep them in my rotation of chocolate purchases!

We were going to the place on the other side of the street for a coffee as they were highly recommended but they were closing and asked us to come back. We ended up at Chokola and have absolutely no regret. The place is awesome. From service to products it is definitely great. We had two trios. The owner was super flexible to accommodate our wishes. We tested the mousses (lemon ginger, dulce de leche, dark chocolate) the gluten free hazelnut cake, a florentin and a salted caramel bonbon assorted with cappuccino and expresso. Everything was delicious. You can feel the passion of the team for chocolate and client satisfaction. The place was busy but service was quick and not rushed. A must to visit in Taos for a delicious treat and coffee.

Highly recommend! We stopped in twice while visiting Taos. We had a tasting flight of the Aztec, Maya and Chili sipping chocolates the first visit. Aztec was sweeter than the others, the Maya was very unique but delicious and the chili one was surprisingly really spicy, but also very good! We also had coffee, mousse and one of their chocolates made in house. Everything was delicious and the staff were very knowledgeable and kind.

This chocolate shop is AMAZING. The service is over the top nice and accommodating (we were given a few pieces of chocolate for free since there was a noisy repair happening while we were in the shop). Besides the chocolate being stellar, there are so many fun options- various flavors of mousse, panna cotta, root beer floats and milkshakes, cookies, cakes (with gluten free options), coffee drinks, hot chocolate.. every time I looked around, my eyes settled on another enticing and fun item to consider. I will stop at this shop every time I visit Taos and can’t wait to try more things.

We tried their sipping chocolate, so delightful and we purchase chocolate for a later on snack. They make their own chocolate and it’s a beautifully family own place. Truly enjoyed it.

The hot chocolate here was delicious, I would recommend the Aztec one especially. However, for a not even filled small cup of hot chocolate, and I'm talking a little smaller than Starbucks 'tall', we were charged about $7 with tax! This was definitely too expensive, but worth it since this was probably the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted.

Arrived in Taos, and after looking for a place to go, we opted for La Terraza. It's upstairs and has a small inside seating, but outside is where the views are located. We ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole. Really great flavor. Had chicken Enchiladas with red chili and chicken tacos. Both served with rice and pinto beans. Both great flavors. Mountain views all around.

Stopped here on our way back home to Oklahoma and so glad we did. The place is small and it was super packed but they were able to seat me and my husband at the bar after a short wait. We got two of their specials, one was the crab tacos they were super good and crunchy with the perfect seasoning and toppings. Second dish was the seared salmon with some white sauce, this was also delicious!

Wow! Lived here four years and this is by far the best Mexican food in town! Got the veggie tacos and was surprised by the flavorful presentation with seasoned veggies but not the boring onion pepper mushroom mix no no! They do little carrots and squashes and a whole mix of perfectly seasoned veggies. . My husband got the fajitas and fun to watch them flame it up and serve it sizzling with that chili 🌶 seasoning...Also the view off the deck of the mountains was incredible and priced so affordable. Francisco and his son fransisco have done exceptionally well. This restaurant is a much needed place for both locals and tourists.

It is just slow... I waited over an hour for an 18 dollar dish. And they put my order behind a larger table even though I came 20 min earlier. They didn't even say sorry for the one hour waiting time.The most unsatisfying meal I've ever had in the past decade. I wish I could leave 40 min earlier. I wanted to give them 0.01 USD for tips but even that didn't work.Don't come until they fix their system

This restaurant is so authentic. The house margarita was great. I asked them to replace the spicy rim with salt. We shared a vegetarian nacho that was loaded with cheese and beans. The churros were the best part of our dining experience. The most delicious churros that I have ever had, filled with caramel sauce and very light and dense at the same time. Our waiter, Ryan was fantastic. He was very articulate, cheerful and well mannered. We sat inside but the view of the mountains from the patio is amazing.

Very good place to have Mexican food in Taos. The service was outstanding, and while all the food was good, some of it was even great. Wife got the alambres. And that was DELICIOUS. As were my daughters shrimp tacos. My chilaquiles were good, but kinda deconstructed. I would have preferred them to be more classic.All in all, a solid place to have good Mexican food.

The hype is all true! It’s like a hidden gem on the rooftop of Taos’ only food hall. I sat @ the bar on the edge as a solo visitor, around 630pm on a Saturday night, right before they would get pretty busy. They have specials so be sure to ask about them. I ordered the fish tacos & they had a special on them: 1 cod/white fish, 1 shrimp, & 1 salmon. The taco was a crunchy seasoned hard shell, and the filling & meats were seasoned perfectly. The toppings are cheese, different cremas & pickled onions (?). The plate came with guac & rice too. I also ordered the churros to go - delicious! Will definitely come back & try other things on their extensive menu

Stoped in after a skiing, food was Absolutely Great along with the service. The waitress was holding down the front of the house, she was sweet and nice. I dont eat meat sometimes its hard to find places with good food to accommodate my diet especially in small towns/communities. Wish i lived closer. The woman closing Thursday deserves a raise!!!! Shes great!

The Baja fish tacos were fresh and delicious with an excellent tarter sauce and green chili sauce. The Mango and Horchata refresher drinks were excellent. The waitresses were very kind. The chicken flautas were also fresh and delicious. There’s air conditioning and free, ample parking on the premises. This is so important because a lot of restaurants and bars in Taos don’t have parking. The dessert of coffee cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce was fresh and delicious. You can also get takeout and order food through its drive thru.

$30 TIP SCAM!!Ate her last week. My total was $23.50 for food, beverage and tip. Just checked my bank and I was charged $53.50!!! Sorry, that is NOT an honest mistake (the 2 and 5 aren’t even near each other on the keypad). Calling restaurant when they open and my bank. This 1-star review stays here until this issue is cleared. Diners you have been warned of dishonest employees here.

We tried to get breakfast/lunch at a few different places and there was either a long wait or no one greeted us. We stopped in at Jalapeños and the folks working could not have been nicer. They immediately greeted us and the service was top notch. The food was excellent, highly recommend the ceviche. We had the chilaquiles con huevos and it was fantastic. Will definitely be stopping here again next time we are in Taos. 5 stars.

Less than appeasing. I was the only car through the window, waited what seemed like a while. Just to get cold food that had obviously been prepared long before. The girl only wore her mask at the window, it was easy to see her putting my food in the bag without the mask. Oh, and no prices are listed. I think they just make up what they want at this point. Will not give a second chance in this economy.

A busy, popular, local lunch spot. It's a 1 min drive from the court complex in case you are in a trial that goes into lunch recess. Offers New Mexican fare for takeout, or eating in booths. Everything is made to order. Nothing fancy, just plain and simple, and huge servings.

Picked up some handheld breakfast burritos on the way to Angel Fire and these are THE best breakfast burritos for people on the go. They are structurally sound and won't fall apart on the driver. If you get the bacon - it's thick cut and delicious. Coffee was also on point.Great service and great people. A must go to spot. I need to return to try the French toast and the Julien and everything else!!

Highway robbery! No prices listed on the drive thru. Probably intentionally so they can change whatever. Got charged $31 for an enchilada and fajita plate which is ridiculous! Food was mediocre at best. No flavor, no fresh ingredients as you would expect for a $15 plate. Enchilada was stuffed with chicken and a bland green chili sauce and came with plain rice and beans on the side. Fajita was flavourless as well. Bad experience overall. I can cook better Mexican food at home for a fraction of the cost. Will not return.

Ordered chili rellanos .Took forever, when mine came my friend had already eaten have of his. Mine was burnt and as flat as a pancake. Took it back and told them how bad it was! They didn’t even offer something else and drink for the road? Will never go back again. Learned my lesson. First time in 20 years, I’ve taken a meal back!

I love taste-testing within a category, but as far as my tastes are concerned, there’s no point to look past Mante’s for a NM breakfast platter or burrito. Friendly. Fast. Flavorful. This place is a total gem in Taos! I love swinging by for a morning pastry or burrito (I love the vegetarian). The staff is always delightful and kind. They have a well stocked selection of treats, fresh ready to go lunches and great coffee. It’s in a lot with some other shops so it may be hard to see (across the road from 5 Star Burgers), but totally worth checking out!

Very fresh and delicious food. They so many variety of salads, lunch options and breakfast options. From wraps to bento box type of food. They also have cakes and many dessert varieties. Cute little cafe however I guess it is the best in town!

This is a really nice little coffee shop/deli located off the main street in Taos. Beautiful food that tastes great! Lots of to-go items for lunch as well. There's a decent bit of seating inside, and additional tables on the patio, although it's only counter-service. Top notch food and drinks!

Memorably great red pork and chicken tamales! They make top-notch tamales that are the real deal. Buy more tamales than you think you'll need. You will likely want to have them for several meals! The red pork ones are great with eggs for breakfast. The service was friendly and quick.

WE LOVE TAMALES!We ordered a dozen hot tamales to go when we were passing through Taos in an RV trip. Parked nearby and ate some right away. Oh they were so good that we walked back over and ordered a dozen cold to take with us on the road. We had red and green and coming from a family that tries tamale’s wherever we travel we rate these exceptional! Price was comparable to quality and quantity.

I buy their breakfast burritos here. Every Wednesday my boss and I get the sausage with green chili, not always from here because we like to explore. However when I do go here I am never disappointed, the price is in line with everyone else, they don't oversalt like some other places and they fill the burrito with a lot of filling.

Leonel's has been a local staple since before i was born. Tamales have always been some best in town, tacos are always delicious. Some of my personal favorites are Red pork Tamales and Green Chickens tamales. Tostadas are also really good, but one best things they have is Barrio Tacos.

This is a real gem. The woman that waited on us was great. The food was excellent. The prices were surprisingly good, as Taos restaurants are known to be a bit on the high side. I was truly impressed by the amount of food I got for the price. They have decent parking, which is also rather unusual for Taos.

Worth the stop! Good corn to filling ratio. Had “Tamales de Dulce” which I’ve never seen before and was excited about - and it was good!

We come here whenever we’re in Taos, the food never disappoints, breakfast burrito is my favorite, the huevos rancheros are delicious and the tamales plate, highly recommended this restaurant.

I loved this coffeeshop! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had a vegan burrito made with tofu scramble—was absolutely delicious and filling. Their coffees were great too! The mole mocha was less sweet than the el tigre mocha, and I preferred that. The place is always full of locals meeting up and having conversations, such a lovely environment. The two baristas were also very kind and great at their job.

By far one of the best coffee spots I’ve been to. Such a treat! I live in Puerto Rico and traveling here to enjoy their delicious brew is the best part of my trip. Really love the Organic Fair trade Mexico beans to take home!

We stopped here each morning for coffee and pastries during our time in Taos. The coffee was excellent and had great flavor. I tried a hand pie, scone, and an empanada - all were fantastic. Service was great too.

Got the El Tigre latte, and it was delicious! Friendly service, too.We arrived about 10 mins before closing time, and he did not seem bothered at all.Have had the opposite happen at other coffee shops where we were told that they weren't serving anymore because they had cleaned everything for the day, so we were expecting the same here, but nope!Good stuff :)

Upon arriving to Taos we stopped at this darling coffee shop fit with a window for ordering. Every person we ordered from (yes, we went there daily during our stay) was helpful, friendly and unique. The coffee is top notch, they even offer infused syrups.Don’t sleep on this spot y’all.

This is the place to go if you’re the type of person that enjoys sitting down, drinking coffee from a mug, and enjoying a sweet pastry.The coffee is some of the best crafted that I have ever had. I love this place, visit a few times a week and would be over joyed to give it five stars for the excellent coffee and service. But one of the baristas here is constantly abrasive and degrading. At first I thought it was maybe just me. I'm willing to accept that might I rub the occasional person the wrong way. But then I've seen her be exceptionally rude to other folks as well. Her fuse is short. I think she might be able to get away with this b/c she's related one of the owners. But not a good look for such a place. I look forward to when she moves on with her life in the autumn of the 2023 :-)

Great coffee shop with tasty coffee drinks (ordered a pour over and a dirty chai, both were great), lots of indoor and outdoor seating with WiFi, and friendly staff. Staff was friendly, space was very modern and bright

Best place to have co*cktails and hand out with friends in Taos! They have different varieties of co*cktails and some signature ones that I love them. It gets pretty crowded end of week that I like but the music band wasn’t good enough for such a place . I give them 4.5 ⭐️.Second night in row and I can tell Amazing drinks and customer service. I wish we had such a place in Albuquerque . Don’t forget to get bottled your favorite co*cktail home! 🍸

We were walking around Taos at night and happened to stumble upon the Lounge. It’s a hip co*cktail bar in a nice house with multiple rooms and various seating options, from bar seating to high tops to couches and comfy chairs, and a large courtyard outside. Their co*cktails are 🔥, really high quality and creative. Ordered the margarita and the favorite child drink, both were great. Would recommend

Love the drinks and the atmosphere. Whenever we have friends in town we bring them here for co*cktails. The specialty vodka is amazing, the red chile is my favorite, and the whiskey is delicious. Great staff all very friendly and an easily walkable location.

Sat at the bar and got two great co*ckatiels, the classic Margarita and a Mojito. Our bartender was nice, quick, and fun to watch making so many different drinks with an amazing skill.Also got the snack board which was delicious and spot on.The place is beautifully decorated and has a great trendy vibe and music.Definitely recommend to pay a visit while in town.

Very nice little spot to have a nightcap or just hang out for a while and chat. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Drinks are delicious. I recommend giving this place a try if you are looking for good mixed drinks. They have some snack options so not much food and they have a few beer options but only 3. This place is all about the mixed drinks.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! The service couldn’t have been better (chill/not pushy at all but attentive when you needed something). And the co*cktails were SO well crafted and very creative! We were lucky enough to stop in when they had live music playing and the guitarist was truly phenomenal. Great fun yet relaxed vibe. Fist of all, let me start by saying that we were very happy to find out that they were open on Sunday, no too many restaurants are.it used to be a different restaurant in this building that I frequented every time I’was in town. (I visit Toes several times a year) it make me content that this new one makes some good food.The service was good attentive and quick, and like I said the food was pretty good, my friends dish was delicious, she order the pork huaraches, I was jealous! now regarding to my shrimp tacos; they were good but I wish I was informed that they were spicy, I barely finish them, they were good nonetheless. One thing though, the building is beautiful and they have a really cute courtyard I hope they get to make some improvements on it.

My wife and I stopped by on the way home on a Sunday night. Once we found it (look towards the end of the shopping center on the right) we got in pretty quickly and sat inside. I will say the tables and chairs looked plain but the food was great! I had the Shrimp co*cktail and it came out like a bowl of soup (very surprising) but it was delicious with a slight heat to it that seemed to come from horse radish like you would expect in a shrimp co*cktail dish. I also ordered fries on the side and they came out hot and crunchy, also tasting very good. My shrimp were fresh and crunchy and very good!My wife had the Calamari and it was also really well prepared!I believe the chips and salsa (hot) was home made and quite good!!I gave it a 4 star or atmosphere only because this food should be presented in a more upscale looking establishment.I can easily recommend Azteca for your meal!

Typical Mexican cuisine, nothing great or extraordinary, especially for New Mexico. They did not have green salsa or red salsa separately as we were told. Spices, presentation and flare were mediocre, waiter was most pleasant, and he did his level best to bring us some spicy salsa. Chips are extra, The flour tortillas were rockhard so we had to request corn tortillas so that they can toast them over a grill before bringing them

5-star food and service. We ordered beef enchiladas and chicken enchiladas. We loved that the pinto beans were freshly made, not canned. The salsa was hot (spicy) and delicious. All of the food and service was excellent!

I got a quesadilla and my partner had chicken enchiladas Christmas style, and chips n salsa. The food was so good. The rice was unfortunately very dry and did not get eaten..Best quesadillas I’ve had a in a long long time. The salsa was fresh and perfect spice level. Definitely recommend.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Best food my wife and I had on our 4500 mile road trip. I don't remember the name of the entre I ordered, but it was the first one on the menu and it was amazing. My wife ordered the tamales and they are the best ones I have had that I can remember.Really good house margaritas too.

Located in the back of the Plaza next to the church, it's a bit hidden but we'll worth the walk. Good atmosphere, wonderful fresh lemonade and fajitas! This Mexican restaurant is quite quaint and a fresh take on down town Taos. I've had fajitas in other restaurants but these were tastier and had good flavor. Tacos were yummy too! The chips were delicious and crispy! I enjoy those better with refride beans rather than guac, but to each his own... Parking is ok right infront of the restaurant, availability may vary though depending on the time of day....

Amazing was meal. The beans have just a hint of heat to them & a Smokey flavor. The salsa has a Smokey flavor as well. We visited here in mid Aug & temp was perfect to sit outside . I had the Huaraches and my husband has the ribeye. Our total meal was $53 ( + a tip).

We come once a week to stock up on bread and pastries, I've never had anything from here that wasn't delicious! The chocolate chip spelt cookies and the chili pecan cookies are our favorite. The staff are friendly and informative and it's cool to see them working and preparing when we stop in.

Absolutely fantastic baked goods. Incredible green chili croissant and green chili/cheese sourdough. This is seriously some of the tastiest bread I've ever experienced. If you like baked goodies - get yourself to Wild Leaven Bakery asap!!!

I'm glad we stopped in! I bought rye sourdough loaf, a baguette, a bearclaw, and a chile cheese croissant. My husband loved the bear claw, and I loved my croissant! I don't eat pork, and it's not easy to find a savory croissant without ham in it.The sourdough loaf is heavy! Our exchange student misses bread back home (Germany), and I know she is going to love this surprise when we get it back to TX.We ate half of the baguette on our car ride home.The people of Taos and visitors are lucky to have this bakery!

What a great bakery in this beautiful town! The bread is on par with bread from more urban places like Los Angeles or Pasadena (Seed Bakery). They have delicious savory pastries such as the green chile croissant. The gluten free bread is also one of the best I've had in a while.You can tell that the bakers take their baking seriously: it feels like a monastery inside-super quiet and mellow.If you're in town and looking for nutritious and delicious bread then look no further.

We were visiting from CA and looking for a place to grab coffee and a quick snack before hitting the slopes at Taos. We saw great reviews for this bakery and decided to stop in. As soon as you walk in, it smells amazing and has a really unique ambiance. However, the staff was not very friendly. We ordered 2 regular coffees and 2 croissants. The coffee was very mild and slightly spiced, which I liked, but my husband hated so much he could not even drink it. The croissants were ok. Overall, I would say this place is ok, at least for grabbing a quick snack.

This place is awesome... the croissant and the raisin loaf were perfection. I wish I had photos to add! We were on a road trip and passed through town. Snacked on the bread through New Mexico.

We're super lucky to have such a great bakery here in Taos! The rye, fennel & molasses bread and the walnut bread are always in my freezer for when I want some delicious toast. The cookies and scones are always going to be on point! Everything I've had here is delicious.

What a fun food truck experience! We had tacos, burritos( relleno and also beef), and the hamburger. All were served quickly, tasted great and authentic.There are outside tables we sat at, very nicely situated too. Definitely recommend a Taos visitor stop here!!

I usually go to this stand once a week since it is within walking distance. I can normally deal with occasional mistake in my order. But today is just cross the line. I have a food allergy to lettuce & onions. I always specifically ask for my burritos to have CHEESE ONLY. Well today I noticed it had the vegetables. I walked back to the stand and informed the lady I had a food allergy and I needed a new burrito. She handed it off to the food preparers and told them about the vegetable which they were all heard when I told her about the allergy. Well instead of preparing a new one they attempted to scraped vegetables off, leaving a few some stray ones. When they handed it back I told them that I requested a new one do to my food allergies. I have no idea if they did or didn't make me a new one since I just got turned off and gave my burrito away. What really annoyed me is that the owner and his employees made a rude comment about me asking for a new one. Yes it may have been a few pieces of vegetables but those few pieces can cause a bad allergic reaction.

I had the puree chorizo burrito from the Mary Janes Home Cooking food wagon for breakfast. Every bite was everything. I guess there was potato, egg and chorizo in there. Hard to say since the site and texture was like grits only it was orange. If you're proud of what you eat and are ok wearing it than you can eat this burrito while you're driving.

Food was not that tasty, kind of bland for Mexican food. The reviews that I read before dining at this place appeared to be top rated. However, that is not true. Taco Bell has better tacos, believe it or not. The lady who took my order needs to improve on her people skills.

When you see a steady line of locals everyday, that’s how you know Mary Janes is one of the best restaurants in town. I always recommended it to out-of-town folks and they always thank me. It’s that good, folks. Friendly staff, great outdoor seating with shade and the best tacos in town. Get yourself some!

Sweet place, sweet shop owner! This cute place is tucked away on a charming side street near the plaza and is definitely worth the walk. The pumpkin spice cookie was the perfect choice for an afternoon treat in October, and my neighbor swears that it's the place to go in town on Saturdays for Cinnamon Rolls!

Oh my gosh this is such a great sweet shop!! The Magic 4 Cookie is AH-MAZING... Do not pass up the chance to taste Heaven (or Valhalla or wherever) in your mouth. Holli is also as sweet as her cookies... Such a wonderful person. You must stop in. She also sells homemade dog biscuits for your furry friend!

Definitely a place to stop when in town! Amazing atmosphere and customer service.Holli works hard on her tasty treats while Zen, the pup will greet you with a tail wag. Very cute place to visit while in Taos… we had a tasty cinnamon roll, cookies and candies and we don’t regret it!

Customer service here was excellent. I had the omelet with sausage and Mexican blend cheese, with a side of the golden habanero sauce / salsa. The food was delicious. They do put a lot of cheese, so you might want to ask them to go lighter on it. I also got their mocha latte with oat milk which was very yum!

I can’t begin to say how good this place is. The best vegan food I’ve had in the US— and I don’t say this lightly. Live music, such great vibes, the owners/waitress was so nice. Must go in Taos!We had the vegan nachos, vegan burrito with red and green sauce, and the vegan meat lovers pizza. All 10/10!Also, try the Prarie Artisan Ale!!

The food was great. I tried the nachos with the red lentil chorizo, and I forgot I was eating vegan. The owner puts a great deal of care into his menu and ingredients and flavors. The in-house sauces were delicious as well. Would definitely go again. They just reopened, but if I come through Taos again, I'll definitely go again.

Plant Base Cafe was so good on my trip to Taos that I ate there 5 times in a row! They have struck a good balance between offering beyond products to supplement things like burger patties as well as their own alternative homemade vegan options. The breakfast foods were incredible and the vegan omelette in particular was fabulous. They do have beer and wine available but it isn’t widely advertised but just ask.

Well worth the visit from Denver. So many options. Maybe too many. Everything was great. The waitstaff was super attentive. They had live music at lunch time! Slightly over cooked churros but it didn’t take away from the experience. I highly recommend this place

Food was delicious, the chips came out fresh fried and warm. We had a variety of foods and everything was tasty. Restaurant is small on the inside and was crowded, took about an hour for 4 of us to order and eat.

The absolute best Mexican food and deserts were awesome! Do not pass this one up! Amazing food! Can't overstate this! Best food in Taos! Just go!

One of the best but often difficult parts of traveling is choosing where to eat. Sabor Real did not disappoint. The aguas frescas were delicious and not watered down. The chiles rellenos verdes we’re some of the best I’ve ever tasted. My kids enjoyed their pork and chicken tamales, and my husband’s fajitas were delicious. We shared a piece of pastel de tres leches for dessert, and it was wonderful also. The service was friendly, and if we were staying in town longer, we would come back.

We came for breakfast but forgot to take photos of our plates. 🙄 Husband ordered the ham and cheese omelette with wheat toast and I ordered two eggs over easy with ham and flour tortillas. Both plates also included a small side of hash browns and refried beans, and we enjoyed everything. The service was very friendly and efficient. The desserts looked delicious! 😋 Next time we will try lunch or dinner and dessert. 😊
